I am really tired of people thinking they can just drop off their smelly dirty dogs for me to babysit and think it's ok. I just had to give one a bath that arrived last night. His smell was burning my nose. He's a big dog and now my back is useless for the rest of the day.

How rude! I suggest your site states dogs must be clean upon arriving, if not an additional $25.00 bath fee will be added to the bill. Perhaps insist on cash for the bath be paid prior to the pet owner leaving.

She's a nice lady with four tiny kids. It's so hard for me to confront someone that I know has probably got no time in her life to give her dog a bath. But it is unfair. And I know with four tiny kids she's probably not a big tipper.

Naja, you have a kind heart. Run your business with your head. If she becomes a repeat customer, she may expect a free bath for the pouch each time. You also put you your physical health at risk. If she doesn't have time to bathe the dog, she can pay someone for the service.

RN I figured out it's definitely because the dog has ear infections. Very smelly ear infections. He goes home tomorrow and I told the woman he has to go to the vet. I wiped the ears out with ear wash, but the smell just comes back as strong in a few hours.

Have you thought about having some medical or cleanliness criteria for dog sitting to prevent this from happening? If you get a dog with ear infections or something else contagious, it could infect any other animals that you have in your care. That might make you liable for vet bills if other animals are infected from one under your care.

I check them out when they come for the meet and greet. But I guess a lot can happen between meeting them and the time of their stay.

Smelly dog just went home and she did leave a nice tip.

I know I will be called a snowflake by some but there is something deeply disturbing seeing the one building that is representative our entire country have one entire side be destroyed by someone who is merely staying there for a few years.

Agree Kappy, and he is on record saying his "vanity" ballroom wouldn't touch the East Wing.

I agree it’s appalling.
