If anyone can knock Grandma Mazur out of the ballpark it would be Debbie Reynolds. It will be wonderful to again see her on the big screen.

Mostly everyone was rooting for Betty White to be cast. At least she is closer to Grandma's height and weight. Debbie Reynolds is only 5'1". I wonder if she was asked and she turned it down.

DR is 78 and BW is 88.
I doubt that is it as she just filmed You Again, and is now filming Oh, God. Seems the timing wasn't right.

Is anyone going to get the new Diesel book that comes out tomorrow? I don't know whether I want to buy it or wait until my turn comes up at the library (I'm #112 on the list). After being disappointed with #16, I'm kinda leary on spending the money.

It was okay, but I got it from the library. Don't think it is really worth buying. The heroine could have easily been Stephanie.

OMG ~ I can't believe it took me this long to discover that there is a LIBRARY discussion area and there's even a Janet Evanovich thread ~ I'm in heaven!
I always pictured Monique as Lulu as I read the books but I can also see Sherry in the part as well.
For Grandma Mazur, it was always Estelle Getty pictured in my mind but Debbie Reynolds can do sassy as well.
I'm just happy the movie is getting made!

I too thought Monique would have been a perfect Lula if she hadn't lost all that weight. Maybe that young gal from Precious would have been good too.
When I'm reading one of the books Grandma is always Sophia from GG's.
And if they'd have gotten on the ball years ago then Sandra Bullock would have been the perfect Stephanie.

I finally got Wicked Appetite...as you said OG, it's ok. I'm going to reread it before taking it back. Still undecided if I'm going to add it to my personal library or not.
