Saw Crazy, Stupid Love today. Ran hot and cold but overall entertaining especially if you find Steve Carrell kinda charming (which I do) or if you are destined to marry Ryan Gosling (which apparently applies to my 15 yr old dd).

Kitt, how was the gore factor? My 15 yr old wants to see it and I am trying to balance the appropriateness for her with my inability to watch someone get a sliver. LOL

Rissa, only just saw your question, but there was LOADS of gore in FrightNight. Most of it was such overt gore you could separate yourself from it, but there were other bits I'd have to look away.

Thanks Kitt. As it turned out, it wasn't even in local theatres long enough to be an issue. LOL I know my 14 yr old has no problem with gore but I DO!!! and I am not comfortable taking her to see it either. That's the kind of movie she can see behind my back at a friend's house while I live in denial. :-) Too bad though, David Tennant and all. LOL

"Without Men" stupid, watched 30minutes or so and then turned it off. I am embarrassed for Christian Slater....this was not even a B movie.

if you like silliness and guffawing, Johnny English sequel is goofy.

a complete spoof on James Bond, and the fight scenes and chase scenes were hilarious BUT i love british humor.

It stars Rowan Atkinson also known as Mr Bean or the Blackadder. gillian anderson (xfiles/ bleak house) plays a 'm' type character.

Percy from blackadder also has a part.

I recognized a fair number of walkins

i thought red state was a bit of a psychological horror. a little campy but WELL done and creepy. the topic matter will NOT be appreciated by any strongly religious folk tho.

its about a cult

My GF brought over a bunch of older movies....older compared to this decade, not to my age...and we watched an 80's movie called "The Legend of Billie Jean"...which had Helen Slater and Christian Slater as siblings (they're not related) and Peter Coyote as a hunter...it was a good movie, not great, but worth watching if you ever get the chance..

I remember that one too! If I recall correctly, had a very 80's feel. Did it seem dated?

I bet it did. It likes watching St. Elmo's Fire or About Last Night, love them but it really makes you think back to the 80s.

Yes, it felt very 80's, but that was part of the allure.

Watch the Pat Benatar video for her song "Invincible" at YouTube and that'll give you a nice feel for the flick and really make you want to watch it.

russell crowe is in a movie called The Next Three Days

i knew nothing about it so was quite pleasantly surprised at the flow of it. the first 20 mins were buildup and then i found it quite mesmerizing.

its pg13 and does build a fair amount of tension and chase scenes/ shooting etc

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1458175/

WELL worth the watch if anyone likes action drama with good writing and something that keeps ya guessing a bit

konashark went to see The Immortals. He said I wouldn't have liked it. I'm sure he is correct. Mentioned the ghods were very young (included "that wolf guy from Twilight").
