Pamy...you intrigued me to look on the internet about Alpha Dog. Here are some facts I found interesting: Other information Alpha Dog was released on DVD on May 1, 2007. It includes a DVD/HD DVD combo package where both forms are included in one box. Several of the actors' real-life home videos appear during the opening credits, including those of Anton Yelchin, Alex Solowitz and Ben Foster; the clips include Foster's actual Bar Mitzvah. The Chinese characters prominently displayed among the faux-tattoos on Justin Timberlake's left arm actually mean "ice skating." The one on his back means "crime". The song played in the trailer for Alpha Dog is Lord Give Me A Sign by DMX. The film holds the fourth highest total of most uses of the word '' (369) in a feature length film, with the word '' being used more times per minute than even Casino. Interestingly, the film received only a 15 certificate in the UK, despite the huge amounts of swearing in addition to graphic depictions of sex and drugs. The end credits state that Johnny Truelove was caught by Interpol in Asunscion, Paraguay on Wednesday, August 10th, 2005. However his real life counterpart, Jesse James Hollywood was actually caught in Saquarema, RJ, Brazil on Tuesday, March 8th, 2005, at 11:35am. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpha_Dog

I was the same way Pamy...Im one of those folks that dwells on the details and the Why's to this kind of thing...If the young kid was really portrayed as he was in the movie, its so hard to believe that anyone...the teenage girls, any of those that knew what was going on didnt speak up.... because he was just so darn sweet. It was very sad.. When I started watching it I didnt know it was true and the subtitles were so small I wasnt paying ettention as I should have...when I relized it was true I put my glasses on so I could read everything.. I didnt even relize that was Sharon Stone.. (i need to watch it again) but in the end when she is being interviewed and has obviously lost her mind... I kept thinking that that would "SO" be me if that had happened to me... she did a good job.... If you want to watch a just "Light" cute movie to get it off your mind... try "The seat filler".. I thought it was cute..its been out for along time though....

Miz, interesting stuff, thx so much! I agree Chewy. I need to look at the extras on the dvd and see if the parents of the young man gave approval for this movie or were even consulted. It says 'based' on true events so I know lots were embelleshed. I think I will try and dig up the acutal newsstory on it

Well, for a good monster/western/hero flick, try "Ghost Rider" with Nic Cage, Peter Fonda, Wes Bentley, and Eva Mendes...I thoroughly enjoyed this flick. It just came out Tuesday. A friend lent me Requiem for a Dream, but I haven't watched it yet...

Shooter came out this week. Violent Wahlberg revenge vehicle. Some cheesy dialogue, but if you don't mind some graphic violence, it's watchable.

I enjoyed Shooter too. Pretty standard shoot-em-up film (with some laughable dialogue), but Whalberg makes for good eye candy.

I've seen it Pamy. I think the whole point was that even though she knew he was going to die, she couldn't prevent it...fate and all that. But she was able to repair her relationship with him. I don't take any more from it than that. If you have it on DVD, you should watch the outtakes. Just watched "Disturbia". Now that's worth watching.

Just watched Vacancy yesterday w/Luke Wilson and Kate Beckinsale...1st 1/2 hr boring, almost turned it off. The last hour was OK, predictable, but had a couple of exciting moments..I'd give it a C

Okay, a weird thing happened today. I got a copy of Wild Hogs from netflix as expected, but along with it was the movie Little Miss Sunshine, which I didn't even have on my list(or so I thought). I ended up watching them both, and I gotta tell you, they're both very good. That last dance scene in Sunshine is an instant classic. All of Macy's scenes in Hogs were the funniest.

Peter Berg and Affleck and Garner are good friends. I saw an interview on tv recently for The Kingdom (that Jennifer Garner movie coming out soon) and she was saying that Berg hurt her somehow and that Ben would have words with him because they were good friends. I only remember Berg as Billy from Chicago Hope - I really liked him them.

I just saw two DVD movies that aren't necessarily "new" releases, but they're not mentioned in individual threads here. The first is called "The Hamiltons", which is about a family of serial killers that is very interesting to watch. The second is called "Perfume", which is a period piece set in the 1700's about a very unique serial killer with a really weird ending. Both are worth a viewing as they are both very unique and well acted.
