rented 'hitch' and watched with dd and restaurant gal last night. my dd watched it twice the night before and didn't miss a second of her 3rd time! i loved the benadryl scene!
as soon as that guy started making funny throat noises i knew he was having a shellfish allergy and his throat was closing up. i'd have been in an e.r. immediately, rather than buying benadryl :-)
it helps with itching and swelling but if your throat is closing, you will soon be in serious trouble...anyway, the straw in the benadryl bottle and guy sipping it and getting loopy were very funny, IMO.

i think i would have liked drew carey better in the role that kevin james played for this movie.

Watched two this weekend... Million Dollar Baby, thought it was good but I don't quite get all the hype.

Also watched A Very Long Engagement... loved it! I didn't know much about it so wasn't quite sure what to expect. I loved the combination of romance and mystery and even the very real, violent, sad war scenes. Plus it was cool and unexpected to see Jodie Foster in a sort of small role in a French film. Wish I had seen it in the theater.

Watched two yesterday...Diary of Mad Black Woman...very good, but felt plot was a bit weak in spots.

Ms Congeniality, Armed & Dangerous. Thought it would be so so, but me & the family really enjoyed it.

If you want to see an amazing movie, watch "I am David". I rented it this weekend.

Two good ones this weekend

"Cursed" is horror master Wes Craven's take on the werewolf. Great mix of horror and comedy. Best watched at midnight lol.

"Hide and Seek" took a few minutes to get into, mostly because I was distracted by Dakota Fanning's dark hair lol. I figured out the main twist just before it was revealed but wasn't expecting the last. Good plot and acting.

Tasha, watched both of them within the last week. Liked "Cursed" a little more than "Hide and Seek".

Saw a movie called "Prozac Nation" a few days ago. Not the usual type movie that I normally watch, but I had female influence on this one. It was okay, but the ending was a letdown. The fact that it's a true story didn't make it any more compelling to me.

Lycan - with a moniker like yours I'm not surprised lol. I also agree.

I have "The Upside of Anger" to watch this weekend.

Loved, loved, loved "The Upside of Anger." Those in the Metro Detroit/Windsor area will get the extra bonus of seeing the grandaddy of rock-n-roll radio, The Grand Poobah himself, Arthur P., as Costner's job is at WRIF. Such well-written and fleshed out characters. Great acting.

Watched "man of the house" last night. If Tommy Lee Jones hadn't been in it, it would have been not worth watching. It was very predictable, but had it's funny moments.

Watched "Because of Winn Dixie" last night. Very surprised. I thought it would be a "benjiesk" type movie, but I really enjoyed it.

We saw "Fever Pitch" on Sunday. Cute popcorn flick. Not outstanding in any way, but watchable.

Watched "Sahara" fun rendition of Clive Cussler's book. Matthew McConaughey plays Dirk Pitt in this pretty fluffy, but fun movie.

"What The Lord Made" with Alan Rickman (Professor Snape from HP) a made for HBO movie released on DVD and top notch.

"Million Dollar Baby" was okay, but I didn't get the hype.

"Man of the House" I love Tommy Lee Jones, he was hilarious in this one.

Have "Monster-in-Law" and "Wedding Date" to watch this weekend and am waiting on "After the Sunset" in the mail. Gotta love Blockbuster.com!!!

Finally watched Meet the Parents, have Meet the Fockers. I really laughed at Meet the Parents. Not usually into comedy but this was funny.
