Tonight we watched the Best Picture Oscar nominated "The Martian". We loved it. The music was awesome! LOL (The music was all 70s disco)

Brooklyn is just a perfectly beautiful small film. A little delight! I enjoyed it a lot too.

I saw Room as well and liked it a lot too. But Brooklyn really is a charmer. Small film but so wonderful. What I do not recommend is the new Coen Brothers film. The Coen brothers are very hit and miss and this one was a miss for me.

Deadpool was GREAT!! Loved it, laughed a lot. As I was walking out of theatre, there were 4 kids ahead of me... 2 10 year old boys, a 12 yr old girl and a maybe 15 yr old girl. There has been major write ups and news about this show and how it is NOT for children. I just can NOT understand why some people think its okay..WHo are these people?? Ugh!! (was rated 14A for us in BC...should have been R)

it was rated R here. No kids at our showing, thank goodness! Did you stay for the secret scene after closing credits? He cracks me up!

I watched Room and Spotlight. Both very worthy of any awards they receive.

I just watched "Terminator Genisys" and I have to say I think it's the best in the series since Terminator 2. I loved it. It would have been so much better if they came up with story line shortly after 2 so they could have used the same actors. The main story line is basically how Terminator 1 would have gone if someone had shown up to warn Sara even sooner. Before Kyle did.

Hateful Eight was a snooze fest. I didn't even finish. Disappointed in both Revenant and Hateful Eight and I love movies set In The 1800s.

I have never seen a Quentin Tarantino directed movie I didn't like. Kill Bill, Inglourious Basterds, Django Unchanged, Reservoir Dogs, are at the top of the list with Hateful Eight. His movies need to be watched with a sense of humor, and not so seriously.

Reservoir dogs and Pulp Fiction are at the top of my list. Then Django and Inglourios. Then a few others fill in. Hateful Eight would be near the bottom. I consider it a Tarantino "miss". Slow and drawn out and a disappointment with only a few worthy moments.

Funny, I never met a Quinten Tarantino movie that I DID like.... way too much gore for me. I tried watching the Kill Bill.... could not understand it at all. Pulp Fiction was in the okay category, the draw there was seeing John Travolta in a completely different role, but I did not understand what was going on at all. If anyone sees the Keanu movie just out, let me know how you liked it. I sort of want to see it... in a mindless sort of way. I just want to see something funny.

I think with Tarantino, you either like his stuff or you don't. I'm with you, Kooklie.

Tarantino is my absolute favorite and I do love most of his movies except for Hateful Eight...and Get Shorty. Very disappointed. Jenifer Jason Leigh was awesome though.
