I crushed on him in Star Trek in 2009 before any of these recent movies. He played George Kirk (James Kirk's dad). Short brown hair - better looking than Christopher Pine (James Kirk).

I 2nd the recommendation for "About Time". Just shows we can reach a certain age and still be trying to figure ourselves out.

Took my girls to see Frozen this afternoon. The first third was easily the best animated movie I can remember ever seeing. It did eventually settle into more standard fare but I still highly recommend it. The singing alone is worth the ticket (Idina Menzel, need I say more?)

Saw Dallas Buyers Club this past weekend and Frozen. Both great films would like to see Mathew McConaughey win an award for this movie. Frozen was true Disney and I loved it.

Happy to see

Frozen -- Disney's new musical is really wonderful. The singing is top notch, like a real broadway musical. The animation is outstanding. DD, 11, and I really liked it and she declared "this isn't a movie just for kids!"

I also took my daycare child to see Frozen...It was great and I have not been to a movie in 6 or so years...
Both children were only 5 and they sat still and watched the whole thing...Girls'..... but I think Boys would like it too....

Saw 2 great movies yesterday-

American Hustle- great

Lone Survivor - INCREDIBLE!!! But extremely intense

Both must see movies!

Also one of the best movies beyond Lone survivor this year is another must see movie I saw couple weeks ago

Saving Mr. banks - Emma Thompson steals the show!

American Hustle - The entire cast was incredible in this. If Christian Bale doesn't win an Oscar, I will be shocked!

The Wolf of Wall Street. Loved it! It's a very long movie, 3 hours, but the time passed quickly. Leo was great as was Jonah Hill.
Hope Leo gets an Oscar for this one.

I wonder which one Wolf or Hustle. We go to the movies once maybe twice a year. I want to make the right choice. Wolf may be too long for my taste but I read a couple of times Hustle is a little boring. I

Check the descriptions of the ratings. Wolf has broken the record for F word and there's a lot of nudity. Doesn't bother me, but my friend called it "vulgar". I'm a huge Leo fan so I enjoyed the flick. But as a child of the 70's I also enjoyed American Hustle and think it would have a more broad appeal.

Vulgarity doesn't bother me either lol and I'm a teen of the 70's that's why I'm torn.

Just watched American Hustle. The acting is topnotch and definitely worth all the nominations.

2 powerful and moving films -- Dallas Buyers Club and 12 YEars a Slave. Both deserving of all the awards and nominations they have received so far.
