All those awards happened after the big hub-bub about Ben not getting nominated for best director. Before then, Argo was not the favorite. Zero Dark Thirty was going in as the favorite movie to win everything. Then, Ben does not get nominated for best director and he wins the golden globe for director and the movie wins. So, I think it started as a backlash to the Oscar snub and has snowballed since.

I enjoyed the beginning. While not up to Billy Christal level, I did laugh out loud a few times. Plus, Seth is nice on the eyes.

Sean Connery isn't there because he hates the family that owns the Bond franchise, the Broccolis. And the same is true with Peirce Brosman or whatever his last name is. The rest of the Bonds were willing to come. But I think it's going to be mostly musical. I'd love it if Carly Simon were there to sing "Nobody Does it Better," but I doubt she will be. At least Adele, Dame Shirley Bassey, Norah Jones, and La Streisand will be performing.
