My DD and I both enjoyed the final Twilight. I didn't feel it was slow. It seemed to move along fast enough. I did not enjoy the last book much, so I wasn't expecting much out of the film, but I felt it was a suitable wrap up. And yes, do watch the credits and cast roll call at the end. Very nice touch that made me a bit emotional.

We saw Miracle on 34th Street yesterday at the theater as part of a series of classic holiday films. A different movie each week - coming up is Home Alone, A Christmas Story, and It's a Wonderful Life. I didn't know about this 'til last week but I imagine other movies houses are doing in around the country so check your local theaters if you're interested. And it was only $5 for adults, same as Cinema on the Square, while it's usually $12 when TCM has special showings (this series isn't from TCM though). P.S. It was wonderful seeing this on the silver screen! Nice crowd, too. Hope they do it again next year, maybe with some different old films. Sunday I'd just watched The Lemon Drop Kid, again, and I'd forgotten William Frawley was in Miracle on 34th Street too.

Talk about different day... different movie experience. Just got back from Jesus Christ Superstar, the broadway revival live via satellite from the O2 arena in London, England. Completely revamped to be set in modern times. Tim Minchen whom I have never heard of blew me away as Judas, Mel C. did a great job as Mary M and Ben Forster.. also great as Jesus. Wish I could turn around and go see it again but I guess I have to wait for DVD.

I say this every time though but it's so sad that only about 6 of us in theatre. If only they could get the crowds in for these live stage productions we could get more of them. Have a long list of broadway plays I would love to see and I am more than willing to pay the $18 (costs $6 more than a movie here). I wonder how the Opera and Ballet productions are doing. I know the Nutcracker will be aired on Dec. 22nd... my middle dd will be going to that one.

"Christmas Story" is running three weeks here with TN Rep. "White Christmas" is in for five days with the Broadway series. Nashville Ballet is dancing "Nutcracker) for three weekends and the two week in between.

Rissa the opera is popular here and often sells out. I have not seen any of the plays yet but I am told they are popular. Not sure about the ballet.

I plan on being in the theater on Christmas day, too, for Les Mis. My 13-year old dd is taking me, but she said if I start singing along she's walking out...lol!

That clip reminded me of this... On the season finale of reality show It’s a Brad, Brad World, celebrity stylist Brad Goreski was treated to a very special surprise serenade arranged by his boyfriend Gary Janetti on their anniversary. http://www.broadway.com/buzz/160301/watch-megan-mullally-many-more-in-a-les-miz-flash-mob-on-its-a-brad-brad-world/

I enjoyed "Silver Linings Playbook." Not your typical "feel good" holiday movie, but quite good.

Enjoyed JAck Reacher. No I'm not a huge Tom fan, but he does have a screen presence. No, I didn't read the books, but might try one now. Was a bit violent so I'm glad I didn't bring DD. Found it funny at times which I wasn't expecting. Thumbs up.

All the showings of Les Miz were sold out at my local theatre, as was Django. Saw the previews for the Lone Ranger yesterday. It looks interesting and you really don't see Johnny Depp in Tonto at all! I might have to see that one.

Jack Reacher. Fun romp. Tom wants to be Bruce Willis. Needs to keep his shirt on now. But his grin and the sparkle in his eyes are still a pleasure. We both figured out the plot early (and no, we've never read the books). konashark's father has read the books and said the movie "got it right" (so the fact that the character is 6'1" and Tom is only 5'8" is not an issue). Book's author has a cameo (policeman behind the desk when Tom is getting stuff out of a plastic bag).
