I haven't seen this yet, but want to go. Directed by Ridley Scott and some good cast. Anyone go? Did you like it?

ETA I just saw Prometheus mentioned in the recommendations thread but figured it needs its own thread. I think I plan on going next weekend or after work this week. Big sci-fi buff

I'm planning to go see it as well. I don't see a lot of movies in the theater but I think this one will be worth it.

 i think ridley scott is a great director. heard that he had two people write two separate screenplays and he took bits n pieces from both.
I was un impressed/ disappointed until the last half hour.
i now understand its not really a precursor to alien, more of a Rewrite.
I will watch it again When i find a better place online.

I kept waiting for some exposition on some of the characters, but nothing came. They just died. I was disappointed, because I love Sci-Fi and I like the actors in this movie...it could have been done so much better...story, writing, everything...
