I'm mostly seeing them via Redbox. I don't go to the theatre as much as I use to.

I just discovered you can reserve your REdbox movies online. This is super! I'm going to be REdboxing more and more.

Because I am such a live theater addict, I don't enjoy movies except in the theater in company with others. Because I volunteer with two of our local theaters, I get to see at least a dozen live shows - most of them Broadway touring companies each year.

I don't think Margin Call ever played where I live. I missed Tinker Tailor and Iron Lady and Extremely loud. I'll probably rent Tinker Tailor. I do enjoy the theater experience so I try to see as many movies as I can in the theater (as well as a few live theater shows each year). It's just not the same watching at home on DVD.

Tntitanfan -- I feel like I *need* the theater. If I don't go sit in a darkened movie theater at least once a month, I begin to crave it, miss it. It's my sanctuary. And I love broadway shows. Since those are so pricey, I don't get to see as many as I'd like, but I try to make it to a few shows each year.

Brenda - We are soul sisters! Because I am a volunteer with our TPAC - TN Performing Arts Center - I get to see all the Broadway season of six shows - and usually a couple of "extras" as well! I also volunteer with the Red - TN Repertory Theater - I can addd an additional four live performances to my list. This gives me usually a dozen live perormances to feed my admitted addiction for live theater -

Sounds so great Tntitanfan. I hope to be able to see more theater when I don't have a child underfoot. We do enjoy going to live shows and she's been to Cats, Mary Poppins, Wicked, Lion King, West Side Story and others I can't think of. Beauty and the Beast (my favorite) is up next for us. And Jersey Boys later this fall. Tomorrow we're headed to the movie theater to see the Lorax. I need my fix. LOL.

Has anyone seen "A Thousand Words?" I like both Eddie Murphy and the premise! Sort of like the rose petals dropping in "Beauty and the Beast." Mods, hope that is not a spoiler -

"Something New"....an old movie (2000?) I had never seen. Simon Baker is the love interest...interesting and enjoyable movie about the feelings of some affluent blacks related to interracial dating.

Tntitanfan, A Thousand Words was filmed in 2008, and has sat on a shelf until now.

Hmmmmmmm - I am still intrigued by an actor who can't talk for the majority of the movie, but it is sounding like no one else is - or was!

saw an older movie for the first time tonight. The Immortals. it starred the beautiful girl from Slumdog and the main guy from Felon. however, i think its worth watching for the physical beauty of the movie... lots of CGI and action fight scenes but it was so well done. I liked the way it was lit. reminded me of "3oo"

I can't wait for The Hunger Games. If I didn't detest crowds I would probably go this coming weekend.

I heard this morning that Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 100% approval rating. I'm assuming that is a good thing...lol.

Too bad we all don't live in the same area and could all go en masse...wouldn't that be hilarious?
