re High Potential. I kept thinking that the actress that plays her daughter looks mixed race and then we it came out she had a different dad it made sense. My guess is her dad is black or puerto rican

Loved loved Matlock tonight. I really didn't expect much, and was pleasantly surprised. Loved the twist at the end of the episode

Well darn - I found NCIS Origins to be pretty awful. There are some good actors in the cast but none of the main characters appeal to me in any way.

I recorded it Kappy... I'll try to give it a couple of episodes.
NCIS was pretty good last night in spite of them bringing Katrina Law back to the show. I'm sorry but her acting has always made me crazy - going back to when she was on Hawaii 5-0. I know she has her fans but she makes me crazy.

I lasted about 15 minutes into Origins before switching it off. Very tedious.

I continued watching the entire two hours of Origins hoping it would start to pick up but it remained so slow to the end.
Lol, Lexie - I grew to like Katrina Law on Hawaii Five O and really like her character on NCIS so I was happy to see her back last night!

I watched the first two episodes of NCIS Origins on Paramount+ tonight, found it to be pretty dark and confusing, thought they set up too many confusing story lines, and the now retired Gibbs, always a fairly dark and conflicted character, now narrating from a mysterious and isolated location, makes it even creepier.
I am not sure if creepy is the vibe they should be going for with this new spin-off.

I always felt the whole back story of Gibbs's murdered family and his revenge murder of the killer was the worst part of NCIS...and now they went and made a brand new series to highlight that out-of-place subplot.
"Origins" came across more like poor man's "Reacher" than a prequel for NCIS. It reminds me of "The Winchesters", AKA the failed prequel for Supernatureal.
They should've made "Origins" a comedy and called it "Young Jethro". Hey, it worked for "The Big Bang's" Sheldon!

I respect all of your opinions when it comes to TV shows and if all of you are bagging on Origins then I may just go ahead and delete the show and the season pass. I have enough on my plate with my DVR and don't need to be wasting my time with this. I don't like dark and creepy.

I'm going to give it another episode or 2, since first episodes are usually spent setting things up and introducing characters
I didn't find it creepy, but did find it a bit boring - and I am slightly confused over the end when Franks met up with someone (FBI?) and she gave him a folder - not sure what that was about

I didn't mean to imply the show itself is the problem. Had they given him a different name and if it wasn't in the NCIS universe at all, I think I would've liked it more.
The fact that I was watching the origin of NCIS's Gibbs is what made it feel out of place...the same way I felt while watching The Winchesters. I tried to ignore the Gibbs connection, but since he shows up at the end of the episodes, it's impossible to see it as just a new show.
I'll probably give it another ep or so. NCIS is a show I really liked even though I got bored with NCIS L.A, and New Orleans, and Hawaii...long before they ended.

I loved Orgins!!!! Going to enjoy watch Gibbs' and Mike's relationship develop. I don't think the whole show is going to highlight the deaths of wife/daughter but it did have to be part of the episode to start the season. I think it will eventually end up a typical solve a case each episode and we'll learn more about Gibbs and how he developed his list... probably see a marriage or 3... Count me IN!
