I don’t want Jason to be the bad guy either. Glad we have another episode.

I don't think we'll know who the culprit is for some time, certainly not this season.

They have totally underutilized him on this show which has been so disappointing! Honestly, he and Bates were the reasons I wanted to check out the show in the first place.

I have grown to love Olympia so I am glad it wasnt her. I was hoping it will end up being that redhead or the dad, since we barely see him

I think it will be a cliffhanger as well. I also think they will introduce a new player in the scheme.

I think we will find out who and then next season will be watching them take them down. Either way I am excited to find out! :-)

I think they will find out that it's the father who is guilty, but there will be a cliffhanger from it.

Maybe they will find him dead afterwards and they will have to find out who did it next season.

My bf thinks Olivia's husband is the culprit. My bf says that he's not the nice guy he's pretending to be. That he is slimy.

What if at the finale, it is pinned on her husband. Everything is tied up in a neat little bow. But then next season something pops up, and they discover the father is guilty, and he set his son up?

Actually, I'd rather they'd just finish this whole story line up and start with a fresh one next season.

What will Olivia do? She's in quite a dilemma. But now we know it was both the dad and the son.

And yes, THREE cliffhangers!

I think the dad at Mattie’s door is going to end up being a slime ball. He’ll probably have something to do with getting the daughter drugs.

I finally finished watching it. I couldn't stay awake for 2 hours last night. I can't believe they left us hanging like that! They better renew it next season is all I have to say.

And why did Julian show up at the bank? And Maddie's husband is really annoying me.

And what is that woman who hates the young lawyer going to do? Argh!

Add her in, and we have 4 cliff hangers.

The other associate, Simone, was my third cliffhanger. Jealous of Sarah because Billy has that special bond with Sarah and Simone thinks that’s why Billy called it quits when in fact he hasn’t gotten over his ex wife Claudia.

It has been renewed - renewed last October after it premiered!

I think the bio dad will be up to no good too. If he is the bio dad even.

So, for cliffhangers we have:

1. Olivia and the documents
2. The dad showing up on the doorstep
3. Simone going to get Sarah in trouble
4. Billy with his ex being pregnant
5. Maddy's marital problems

Can anyone think of anything else?

Thanks, Legal for letting me know it's been renewed.

It may not be the best show in the world, but I enjoy the actors and the characters they play. And there's no violence, cursing or nudity. Your can watch it with anyone who comes over and not have to worry about it. It's enjoyable.

Grooch, I guess I didn’t see your #4 and 5 as cliffhangers. We know Billy will have a baby next season and it seems like a normal plot line to see how that relationship turns out, and I never once questioned that Maddie will stay there, it has another season and all the characters are in that office. Worse case they move to San Francisco for one episode and move back. I don’t see them getting a divorce.

I understand that she loves working as a trial attny now but also see her hubby's point that this was now their chance to enjoy retirement together

Legal, I see your point. I guess all of them except for #1 could be considered loose ends. #1 is the only one I really care about. #2 and #4 will be annoying distractions. And like you said, Maddy and her husband will work it out.

But why does he keep shutting her down immediately when she mentions that he got to keep working? Hmmm...

Pamy, he needs to get a hobby. She will not be happy and will be resentful if she does what he says. His ideas of doing things was learning Italian and taking a cooking class? Boring! He's not meeting her needs intellectually and he is to clingy. If he wants her to stay home, he better come up with some better ideas.

Me personally, I believe she has the right to keep doing what she's doing. She's worked hard to get where she's at, and she's already raised a child. It's time for her, while she still can. Maybe she needs a better balance between home and work, but he needs to understand.

'Matlock,' the zippy reboot of Andy Griffith's iconic '80s legal procedural, was a huge hit for CBS. Here's everything we know about 'Matlock' season 2, including its release date, cast, and more.

From the article above:

quote:

This comes as little surprise, as Paramount reports that an average of 17 million viewers watched the series' first season across broadcast and streaming. According to Nielsen and other sources, Matlock was the number one new broadcast series in multi-platform viewing (and the number two broadcast series overall).

That's pretty darn good, especially considering how much there is to watch out there.
