I came here last week to say there was a 2 hour special Fantasy Island Holiday event, but the newspaper TV guide lied and there wasn't.
But now the paper didn't even mention it and it is tonight!!

I watched it on Hulu yesterday. Such a sweet, "feel good" show. I loved it. Thanks for the heads up!

And we need some more of these type shows. Everything is always so dark, heavy or some kind of lesson they think Its audience needs to learn.

Since this thread has been dead for a year, I'm guessing that no one knows Fantasy Island season 2 starts tonight.
Or maybe it's just me...I use commercial skip all the time on my TIVOs so I missed any promos they may have run. The ep of TMZ I was watching was a new one airing for the first time and commercial skip only works on shows that have already been recorded...so I happened to catch a promo.

Sanfran....I noticed the connection between Susan and Mike from Desperate Housewives too!!
Though the stories this week for me were a bit lack-luster. It's ok, I will still tune in as it is different guest appearances and stories each week.

This show is sweet and predictable, but it's like comfort food for the brain. I never watched Desparate Housewives, so I missed the connection, but I've always liked Teri Hatcher.

DH mentioned Desperate Housewives.
I recognized Teri Hatcher as Lois Lane.
I was a fan of James Denton from The Pretender. Met and interviewed him, plus Andrea Parker, and Harve Presnell from the Pretender cast, when they filmed a Pretender TV movie here in Toronto. Super nice guy! (But my big thrill was Presnell, who co-starred with Debbie Reynolds in The Unsinkable Molly Brown, one of my alltime favourite movies.)
Sorry if I veered slightly off-topic, but love to share these memories when they pop up.

I loved Harve Presnell, Mameblanche! He was in all those movie musicals back in the 60s and 70s. One of my favorites was "Paint Your Wagon." I think he was from my high school BFF's mom's hometown (Modesto, I think?). When PYW was playing at the local theater there, the marquis out front read, "Paint Your Wagaon STARRING Harve Presnell."

BJM, Howard Keel (7 Brides For 7 Brothers) was also wonderful in the old movie musicals. Sometimes I'd get them mixed up.

Oh, I never got them mixed up. Harve was handsome! Howard was old. Don't know if you're old enough to remember, but Howard Keel was brought onto Dallas when Jim Davis died to play Miss Ellie's new love interest. That seems like so long ago now!
