Did anybody else watch this? It reminded me of This is Us. Tom Everett Scott (one of my favorites) plays a dad of 4 kids who finds out he has cancer. He worries that he won't survive to raise his kids, so he recruits three close friends he knows will be there to help his family. Very sweet. Lots of tears, but some were happy tears. Lots of familiar faces. His wife is played by the actress who played Lori (eaten by a zombie) in The Walking Dead and also the mom in Colony (aliens invading Earth).

We have Hulu Live. I got it from there. I enjoyed it, but I'm wondering if it will continue since it's starting at such an odd time of year and not a lot of people seem to be watching it.

I liked it. And Luby's wedding dress was so lovely, without needing to be ultra sexy, blingy, or possibly to walk in. Just perfect!

I just watched the series finale. I'm so sad that this was not picked up. Such a heart-warming, feel good type show! I would think it would strike a chord with anyone who's lost someone and had to figure out how to move on. Such a great cast, too. I'll miss them!

Very much a Thursday night NBC / Peacock kind of show. Will miss it. Too bad it's series ending and not just season ending show.

We had watched a few episodes and then erased them all once it was cancelled.

It sounds like it was an interesting show. That’s too bad.

Reminded me of a cross between Parenthood and This is Us. Such a good show!

I just started watching this one tonight on nbc.com, free if you link to your tv provider (but maybe free anyway?) based on y'all recommending it. Sheesh, am I going to cry every episode until I finish it? Sure, it's a bit formulaic, but sweet. And how about that JJ (youngest child, a son) reveal just before the funeral? I do know that phenomenon to be true.

Yes, Juju, I actually have two friends who are transgender (it's not a spoiler, cause the show has already aired). It was a sweet show. Also reminded me of Dawson's Creek, cause of the river.

Yeah, just got another reveal tonight. Luly's dearly departed Dad who raised her alone before he remarried was not her Dad. Ack!
