I really like The Summer I Turned Pretty. It’s intense,romantic and the way I think young love is these days. I really like the fact that it’s not about texting and online dating. It shows the real world or at least what I hope is the real world. 🤷🏼♀️

If you want something bingeworthy, chasing down a terrorist in LA, check out Countdown. It is a ten part series on Amazon Prime, 9 episodes are up and I think the season ender is this Wednesday. I have been enjoying it.

Wiki says "No. of episodes 9", but then it lists 13 eps further down the page.

The current TV structure of episode's air dates seems to have become a lot more fluid. It's often hard to find accurate episode details until the last minute these days.
In any case, it looks like you have more eps of Countdown to enjoy than you thought.

13 was the final count. I think it had nine at first (in case it bombed) then they quickly extended it to the 13.
I'm really wondering how they're going to handle it - given that it seems to be quite a hit and could be renewed - seeing as Meachum's episode count appears to be somewhat limited by the =spoiler=. I know he's not the only cast member but he is the Jenseniest one.

I started Countdown and really like it. I'm only starting ep 3.
I keep thinking Jack from This is Us (who was killed in ep 1) isnt really dead. Why would they get such a big name actor for such a small little part?
Am I onto something?

I was hoping he would be involved with the show more. He is a big part of why I started watching it. So far from what I have read, he only appears in the one episode. Hope they have more planned for him.

Seems like the writer had only intended a 9/10 episode first case, so when they extended to 13 episodes he essentially started season 2!

It was obvious that they just decided to start Season 2 after the wrap up. Of course there was the miraculous cure of the inoperable brain cancer.

This weeks ep was kinda meh for me. I hated the animal stuff. I ff thru it. I feel like they rushed to write the start of season 2 since they were greenlit for 3 more eps.

Yeah, I’ve kind of decided the writing on this show, even the first case, isn’t particularly good. Not overly exciting for a thriller, not easy to follow in places. What I have enjoyed is (after ep1) Jensen’s interactions with everybody, and a few of the other characters, like Oliveras and Finau. I’m watching it a bit more like a soap, to see what goes on between them, than to care about the main plot.
