Watched the first episode last night. Stellar performances... gritty, worth watching again. Although, I was having flashbacks to "Emergency" at times.

I watched and enjoyed it. Very fast paced and the characters all have enough depth to make the viewer invested in wanting to know more about them.
I didn't even mind Connie Britton and in general, I don't care for her.
It's added to my DVR schedule.

LOVED it!!!!!!!!!!!!
Angela Bassett kills every scene she is in!!!!
I love all the characters. Lots of good stuff crammed into an hour, it was great!

I really like it too but man the real 911 people hate this show. the FB comments are brutal!

I will probably watch the show if nothing else is on, but I can't say I like the show. Four firemen, one cop and one 911 operator makes up most of the show. That is ridiculous. If you are going to have a show about cops, firemen and 911 operators then hire some more actors to play some more of those parts.JMO

My husband is a retired firefighter/paramedic.. No way would anyone be allowed to talk on their phone like that one firefighter does while out on a call. “ Are you busy” “No, I’m just out on a call, I can talk”. That guy would be fired. And very unbelievable that the guy had a piece of rebar stuck through his head and he was talking and alive! Just a poorly written show.

last nite's ep was fantastic! edge of your seat scary for us So Cal peeps! Knowing that could happen at any moment and seeing it happen really hits home.
the action on this show and the elaborate sets are so impressive!

Yes!! Very impressive! I can see where the show defies realism at times for sure but I do like so many of the characters, so I like the show.

Lol, Iluvreality ~ We had the same discussion during the episode about having a child in the firehouse let alone the truck on a run.
I have mentally agreed with myself to suspend all reality and just go with the flow of the show because I love all the actors in the cast!
