CNN reported that when Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper returned to their seats during a commercial break, the audience gave them another standing ovation.

Worked well without a host. Not too much fluff.

As anxious as I am to see Green Book, I was not expecting it to win. Congrats to them.

I did my ff often, but loved the opening number, the Shallow performance and the standing O, Bette Midler. I didn't care for the song Jennifer Hudson performed.I

When Lady Gaga won for the song, and was talking about not being afraid to fail, I loved the intent look on Jennifer Hudson's face and her nod in agreement. Also Adam Lambert's reaction.

With best actress she was so stunned.. I did live how Glenn Close reacted and then Lady Gaga, very supportive and happy for her.

The in memorial always gets me.

And hosts, who needs hosts?

Barbra Streisand looked great.

There is nothing more sincere than an industry congratulating itself. -

Green Book definitely was a surprise - and definitely will be one of the more forgotten best pictures - regardless of how good it is (or isn't).

I "understand" why people are nominated in different categories to try to ensure a win, but really? Ali plays the man that the movie is about - he shouldnt have been a supporting actor. (and dont get me wrong - i will watch anything Viggo is in ever since his poem reading days in GI Jane, but really??)

Black Panther totally deserved the win -

I hate it when the Oscars get political. We're in 2019 and we still talk about racism that happened over half century ago, they said that story will help eliminate racism. In another 50 years they'll still say the same, since racism is so conveniently used by political parties that want to oppose a conservative government. I would have preferred a director with enough courage to present a movie dealing with the current racial problem, not what happened so long ago. Enough already!
Anyway, if the movies presented were the best it makes me nostalgic of the great movies that gave us the pleasure to go back to the movie theatres, now they're just boring stories and cheaper productions that end up on Netflix or forgotten after a couple of months.

I don’t watch award shows anymore because of the politics. However, I did tune in off and on bc I saw A Star Is Born a few days ago and I was hoping GaGa, Cooper or Sam Elliot would win.

Gaga was genuinely touched that she won for Best Song. I'm going to google today because I want to see Queen's performance and the Star is Born performance. I only watched the last few minutes but I got to see Best Song, In Memoriam, Best Actress (loved that woman's reaction) and Best Actor.
