This show is very well written and the characters seems to know what is going on in the world. It has intelligent people trying to do the best they can for the American people and trying to keep the world in one piece. It gives a person a feeling of security that every thing will be ok. I can't imagine it will still be on the air when the Trump administration takes over.

I like this show but I find it depressing to watch now because it no longer reflects the reality of America.

America is still beautiful and still the land of opportunity. Nothing has changed. There is a lot of preaching of doom and gloom but let's just wait and see how it really goes. We have survived thus far, despite all of the failed political leaders that have come and gone. The finale ending was totally something that would happen in our great country.

Jenjackso, when was the finale, if you recall? Not sure it is showing on Full Episodes at cbs.com, which is where I watch most of the CBS primetime drama shows 1-3 weeks after they air.

I went back and looked, it was 11/27/16. It wasn't a full finale, just a pre-holiday/mid-season finale.

I'm tired of the Trump reference, I just find it in bad taste. No US President, Dem or Rep should be made fun of, it's like making fun of your flag, and it has nothing to do with the 'politically correct' which I never liked. It's just respect for your highest institution.
Anyway, I noticed that since Trump is President the show has become ....less 'politically correct', you may think it's still quiet correct but I do notice some details in the dialogue and action that before Trump they wouldn't dare... at least that's my impression. (By the way I'm so tired of the 'politically correct', so I find this new Madam Secretary fun to watch.
