Wow! I thought she was older than that. Makes it especially creepy that she was married off to an old man and he shared her with his friends to try to get her pregnant (in the story). Just shows the horrible things Gilead does. She is a really good actress.

I just read that there will be a 5th and final series of The Handmaid's Tale and a spin off using The Testaments and featuring Aunt Lydia is in development. I had seen anything about there only being 1 more season of The Handmaid's Tale.

I thought the first 2 eps of the new season were disappointing. I was really fighting the pull to be distracted. They spent quite a long time on June's crazy face.

I know Naja, they should rename the show the three faces of June. I think the season will all be about hardcore Serena and June's facial contortions.

This wait for the next season is ridiculous. They finally settled on spring 2025. They started filming last month. ETA: the last new ep was Nov 9, 2022.

well, Covid and her pregnancy got in the way of filming so I dont fault them. I'm praying we are watching fictional Handmaid's tale this spring and not living it!!!

I just watched the first 3 eps of season 6. It wasnt all that great considering we waited 2 1/2 yrs. I felt they could have made these 3 eps into a tighter 2 ep arc. They wasted too much time on artsy camera shots and lingering on scenes too long

I only watched the first two new episodes. They picked up right where they left off. I hope the rest of the season is good. So far, I thought it was.

I watched the next episodes today. That's as far as I can go right now. My sister started watching them from the beginning. It was a short book. It's amazing they could make a whole series out of it.

There probably won't be any explanation.

This season is moving way too slow!!! Nick did what he did because they were suspicious of him so he had to deflect. He figured he would wisk June off to Hawaii and she wouldnt find out

Finale sucked, so boring. They should have just ended the series on ep 9 which was really good. June and Luke decide to keep fighting but not together and they just leave each other no hug or kiss. So many other things I was disappointed with

Agreed Pamy. I actually thought Ep 9 was the end and was surprised there was another ep. It seemed like this last ep was only done to show set design and other tech tricks. No real story developments that we couldn’t have lived without. Also, I was really annoyed at all the June remembering/imagining Hannah scenes.

The Hannah scenes were so pointless with no pay off. From the start of the ep, I knew we wouldnt see Hannah since she will star in the Testiments. When Naomi gave Janine's daughter back to her I wanted her to give her the book that Lawrence was reading to her and tell her she was on Chapter 10. (since Lawrence told her they were on chapter 9, they would have shown Naomi was reading to her)

Just finished. It was terrible. I didn't understand the very end when June was in her old room.

apparently the 1st ep starts with a click like recording. So the ending starts with a click before she says there is a chair a lamp etc...that is how the original book starts also Serena says those same words when she is in her space at the refugee camp

I saw the "boring" comment before I watched the finale so I wasn't expecting much. Ep 9 was so impactful and well done, that I was just expecting a wrap up epilogue kind of episode. But WoW -- I was blown away by this series. I was welling up in tears at so many moments during the last episode. I thought it was very good. And the ending, of her walking into the old house, and reciting the words that were said in the first episode -- a chair, a table, and a bed. And having THOSE same words said to Serena as she sits in a crowded refugee camp. Honestly, it was perfection. June will keep fighting. They won the battle but not the war. She will not only fight, but she will write her story and tell the world her story. I love this series. Ep 9 really gutted me. Commander Lawrence doing the right thing. Nick trying to choose June when he knew he betrayed her and her finding out about the betrayal. Her wanting to yell for him not to board that plane, but knowing she had to let him go. All so powerful. I had binge watched this last season all weekend so it really got under my skin. I found the final episode satisfying. I will watch the next series, set 15 years into the future. I agree that this season started a bit slow. But I also recall that so much of June's story was told via her face, and not via dialogue, so I think it is in keeping with how much of the story was told. I do think the cinematography was limited by her pregnancy and we had a lot of darkly lit shots and they were always in coats. But ultimately the season paid off for me. Wow. I just can't stop thinking about it. This is an amazing series.

I just dont like June and Luke keep fighting to get their daughter but neglect the one they already have (I know it's not Luke's but he loves her like his own)
