The highlight of the entire season was last night's re-enactment of Crawford making the personal appearance on behalf of "Straight-Jacket" -- I nearly peed my pants it so funny. And having John Waters (director of "Female Trouble," the single greatest comedy of all time) play William Castle was the best bonus of the entire season, too! As a kid, I remember seeing "Straight-Jacket" over and over again on Channel 9 here in L.A. -- they literally aired it every night, Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 10:00, for an entire week. One of the best cheesy horror films ever!

Man, Jack Warner really was an ass, so hard to watch him be so degrading to everyone.

I loved that movie, Uncle_ricky! Although I never got to see it until I was an adult and got cable in the 90s. I did quite a few Joan binges on AMC when I first got cable.

Dipo, Joan wasn't in it. Like I said in my earlier post, it was Olivia de Havilland playing the the part in the movie, and I can't wait to see how that all came about.

Ahh, I thought I had missed something when the movie came out....I wonder how they got rid of her too.

Admittedly most of my frame of reference regarding Joan Crawford comes from Mommie Dearest. Does anyone know if Mamacita was a real person? I think Jackie Hoffman shines/outshines every scene in which her character appears. Although I liked some of her movies Crawford really didn't have the talent of many other actresses of her time IMO.

Sugar, this article claims that Mamacita is based on a real person: http://www.refinery29.com/2017/03/142134/feud-joan-crawford-bette-davis-real-life

In 1999, the American Film Institute voted [Joan Crawford] the 10th greatest female star in 100 years of classic American cinema. (Bette Davis was No. 2.) -- From Uncle_Ricky's above awesome article. Wouldn't Bette have just eaten that up??? I hope Jackie Hoffman (Mamacita) gets an Emmy. She steals every scene she's in. How lucky Joan was to have such a loyal and faithful companion all those years!

I was looking to see if there was a season 2 coming up (they do show this as S1 on the tv guide) and found this article which basically has the opinion that Joan was underrated by a lot of people and hits on a few other things that aren't shown - I believe because you have to choose what to show, can't show everything, WHAT “FEUD” MISSES ABOUT BETTE DAVIS, JOAN CRAWFORD, AND THE ART OF MOVIES

I heard each season will be a different feud and the next one is supposed to be "Charles and Diana".
