There is a lot of debate between Sherlock loyalists about their being more siblings in the Holmes family.

Just catching up on the last episode.

WOW, this episode was like a full length movie.

Was totally shocked when Mary turned around with the gun in her hand. When Watson said something like "your past is your problem, but your future is my privilege" - I chocked up.

So much went on!

Great ending...hurry up next episode!!!

Season 3 was the best. The first episode had me laughing, the second one had so many clues, and the third one wowed me

Love love loved Sherlock

I hope Cumberbatch can continue to make Sherlock what with his skyrocketing career.

As the tweet said, sometimes a chocolate Easter Bunny won't do. Someone made a life size BC out of chocolate... aka Chocobatch...

Here is the trailer for the new Sherlock special set in Victorian times...

I think it airs in the UK at Christmas. Hopefully PBS will air it at the same time, or soon after. Looks good!

Simultaneous air dates for the New Year special!

Masterpiece and PBS announced on Saturday that the upcoming 90-minute standalone, Victorian-era Sherlock special, titled Sherlock: The Abominable Bride, will make its PBS debut on Friday, Jan. 1 2016 at 9/8c. (For the first time, Sherlock will premiere on the same day in the US and the UK.)

Additionally, Masterpiece confirmed that Sherlock‘s fourth season will go into production in Spring 2016.

There's also a trailer at the link.

Woo hoo! Something more than football to look forward to on New Year's Day. Sherlock and PBS should take a page from BBC America's/BBC's book and always air shows on the same day or at least within a week of airing. I'm seeing all these Downton pics on Tumblr so I'm sort of getting an idea as to what series 6 will be like. Well, at any rate, I'll get to see Sherlock on the same day as the peeps in the UK do.

There is a new Sherlock January 1st. I'm hoping it will the more than just the one. I think only a very few new ones have been made.

I just checked and there are 3 new ones. Yay! But wish there were more.

Thanks OG, I was wondering when they would start again. I can watch Sherlock over and over and over again, never bored.

I could watched Mr. Cumberbatch and Mr. Redmane read the phone directory.

The New Year's episode is just a special one. The new season (season 4 I believe) is set to start filming in 2016. Both lead actors have been busy with other projects and I guess this is the earliest they could begin filming the new season. Just gives us more to anticipate.

Mamie316, did you ever see Emma Thompson's version of "Sense and Sensibility?" There's a scene at the end where Alan Rickman's character is reading aloud to Kate Winslett's character, and his voice is pure melted butter.

So excited about the return of Sherlock. The first episode is a stand-alone episode. The writers have taken Sherlock and Holmes back to the 19th century. It is just a one time thing but probably going to be great fun.

PBS made such a pig's ear about how this was in the guide that I only recorded the last 40 minutes. Irritating. I'll have to wait until they show it again. I'm not going to the theatre to see it

It wasn't on our schedule. Said TO BE ANNOUNCED. I think I read about it here or on FB or I would have missed it.

Daydreamer, love that scene! He could definitely read the phone book and have me enraptured.

I loved last night's episode! It was so much fun. I hadn't realized how much I missed Sherlock until I started watching.

I believe that, at the end of the show, PBS said it will be shown again on Sunday, January 10th.

Quite creative and it made some sense at the end. Wasn't really expecting the cross over to today. LOVE LOVE LOVE Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch. I understand that the only reason they only have 1 episode this season is because the 2 of them are so busy with other projects. I really miss this show.
