Can someone explain to me why this group of hitmen wanted to kill Penelope? I really didn't get (or like) that story line.

When Garcia was doing research research online about the hitmen, they figured out it was her digging into their stuff. They named her "The Dirty Dozen" because she used 12 different bots when looking into their stuff. The guy in the prison hospital figured out they were after "the Dirty Dozen", but Garcia figured out herself that's the name the hitmen gave to her. Remember when Morgan walked into Garcia's office and she was scared, and all her computers were turned off? That's when she realized she was the Dirty Dozen they were after now.

Did you guys see there is another spinoff starting March 12th? It's titled "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders", and it stars Gary Sinise. http://www.cbs.com/shows/criminal-minds-beyond-borders/ I didn't know anything about it until they mentioned it on the Grammys tonight.

Gary Sinise and the Beyond Borders cast did an episode of Criminal Minds last year.

I'm going to skip tonight's show. It's almost like they want us to think it's sexy as Derek is tortured. Just feels very yucky. I'll head to ABC tonight instead.

It wasn't like that at all, Kappy. It was a great gut wrenching episode and you'll need tissues.

Definitely tough to watch emotionally, but after it was over, I was left wondering what that was all about. Did anyone understand why they wanted to torture and why they picked Derek specifically?

I only watch Criminal Minds in reruns at an earlier time. (5pm & 6pm locally) I just cannot watch the show just before going to bed, no matter what the subject matter is.

The people who tortured Derek are flunkies who couldn't make it into the British SAS (torture technique specialists) who are often subcontracted by CIA. I believe the "why" they were after Derek is something they are planning on for a future episode.

LOL, Kookliebird, I am the same way, I can't watch the show if it is dark outside, so I tape it.

So Derek gets jumped in a parking lot at night and months later, knowing the guys behind it haven't been found, decides to hang out in a dark parking lot again instead of getting his pregnant wife quickly and safely into the car. Sigh I like this show, I really do, but I don't care for this continuing storyline or how they're writing it at all.

I think the writers are in on the joke. DH and I laughed out loud at the ending. We loved it! hahaha

BTW, how cool was that having having all those music legends at the poker game?! And the red haired female officer is Joe Walsh's real life daughter, Lucy Walsh.

Oh thanks Naja, that's great information that I wasn't aware about. They really needed Kenny Rogers at the poker game...."you've gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em..."

I tried tonight to watch the early March episode I missed when going to China. It was about kidnapping and torturing Derek. I could not watch past about the first 90 seconds. Sheesh.

That was a hard one, I ended up FF thru all the torture parts and only watching when he was talking to his Dad.
