I'm in the middle of Scott Bakula as Capt. Jonathan Archer of the Starship Enterprise. He was so much younger then but still adorable. Cant' wait to rejoin him for the New Orleans NCIS.
Naturally I'm a huge Gibbs fan also.

He was a guest star, apparently he has wanted to be on the show for years. I saw Pauly on the Talk and she said he had been bugging them for 13 years and really had a good time filming.
Since he is Gibb's doctor he may have more than one appearance thru the season, I haven't heard that but it makes sense he might drop back in occasisionally.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt that way!! The whole thing seemed "off" I ended with a "I wonder if this is the last season" sort of feeling.

I suspect they will use flashbacks to flesh it out. It was very abrupt how Gibbs was practically dead on the operating table and the next minute walking into the office.

So far no flashbacks about his surgery but Gibbs may be starting to move on a bit.

I was teary eyed the first time watching the show where Tim's father died and then got teary again watching the rerun. Then tonight I got all choked up when Ducky was hugging his brother. Had to remind myself that the NCIS characters are just that, characters and are not real. I believe the writers have done an excellent job over the years having the characters evolve. Just like real life they have grown from their experiences. Maybe this is the reason I forget they are not real people?
Is this the last season? In my dream ending Tim and Abby get married as do Tony and Ziva

Wonderful episode last night. Loved the shows premise.

but it seems to me that the writers bring in these story lines out of the blue about someone's family, who we have never heard about,when they don't have anything else new to show. I liked the episode on its own but geesch a brother he thought was dead 50years....really out of the blue...
