I've never seen Downton, but my recent interest is because starting this evening the show is being run start to finish over the next few weeks.
I'm recording the showings during the middle of the night.
I can't wait to see what you all have been raving about this past few years!

 Absolutely heartbreaking. He was only 34. I am so sad for her and his family. According to the article, they were introduced by co-star Allen Leech.

I just started watching this show this week and I am up season 2 ep 2, and ran here to express how great it is, only to find this deep sadness.

Naja, you will love it! Such a wonderful show with so many twists and turns. I'm sad that it will be coming to an end soon. Actually, it's already ended (filming at least) in the UK, and they usually show their season finale on or around Christmas Day.

There are children named Isis after a strong female god. From what I've read, they can't get anything with their names engraved because people associate it with the terrorists rather than the goddess.

Does anybody remember a diet product (chocolate flavored chews) from the 60s and 70s called "Ayds"? I actually used them once as a teenager. They were actually delicious, but I don't think they worked.

So how much longer do I have to wait until Robert finds out about Mary and the Turkish guy? I just watched season 2 ep 3, and he still doesn't know, but came close.
(If I was worried about being spoiled, I wouldn't be in this thread  )

A pretty long time, Naja. It comes out eventually, but not for a while. Robert is a pretty cool dad for his time. He takes a lot of things in stride that you'd think would be a big deal. A guess a man with three daughters learns to do that.

I've already snuck online and watched the newest season (I won't spoil). I can't wait for the finale on Christmas Day. I'm so bummed it will be over though.

I just finished ep 6 of season 2. Lavinia has just died from Spanish flu, Bates has been arrested, William is dead, Sybil tried to elope, Matthew is walking.... This show is fantastic!

Such a great show! So glad Mary got out from under the thumb of that awful guy from Game of Thrones. Even if he is really handsome and has an awesome accent. Glad you're enjoying the show, Naja!
