I think Canada would like some normalcy too. I have a number of Canadian friends that follow what is going on in the US closely.

I haven't watched the Emmy's for a few years as I thought a lot of things nominated and winning were poor and undeserving choices but I am delighted that Schitts Creek had so many wins. Catherine O'Hara should have won last year although I am not sure she was nominated. I will have to find the winning clips online. Schitt's Creek was a show that got better each season and I am sad that there are no more episodes of this quirky, lovable bunch to be had.

I missed a few. Tyler Perry and what he has built in Atlanta is truly incredible! He so deserved the Governors award. Zendaya wins for Eurphoria - What an incredible group she was nominated with!

Julia Garner wins for Ozark. And the final award for outstanding drama series goes to Succession with lots of "unthank yous" given out. Good job with a difficult situation Mr. Kimmel.

I enjoyed the Emmy's Last night. Kimmel pulled it off. I too like it when the awards are spread around a bit more, but this always seems to happen when a good show has a good final year. (I'm nearly at the end of Schitt's creek's final season). I have no idea what Succession is, but it appears I should find out!

Succession is a great show! It's on HBO and is about an ultrarich family. When the patriarch announces he's going to step down, his four children are grappling to be his replacement, each while dealing with their own problems. It's brilliantly written. Sometimes I laugh out loud, while others shock me to silence. Brian Cox (the patriarch) plays an a$$ hole really well. It's dark, but really good. I'm sure the parts with the various presenters were filmed previously, so they could all be at home watching. I noticed that they never showed the presenters announcing the winner (just a voiceover), so it was obviously prerecorded. I thought they did pretty well under the circumstances, but I was SO confused at the beginning, when Kimmel was doing his monologue in front of a "live" audience. It went on for so long, and I kept thinking, "Are they really there or is that from last year?" We're still mostly on lockdown in California.

I just watched the clips of the Schitt's Creek wins and I am so happy for them. They seemed genuinely surprised and sincerely grateful for the wins. Finally, some comedy wins that were well deserved! I has been awhile since that happened. I really, really, really want Moira Rose's green wig. When I did green it was nice but not quite as cool as Moira. Of course, I am not as cool as Moira, but who is?

Dan Levy's face had me crying! It is so well deserved. It is one of those shows where you can be laughing like crazy one minute and then getting teary the next.
