OK just yesterday I realized why I dont like parts of this program. Off the top they talked about 2 'news' items featuring a date rape claim about a singer--that nobody including his employer beleived or the police. The other was a story that Gwyeth Paltrow was cheating on her husband but claims its not true. If there was no proof the stories were true, why broadcast the innuendoes and gossip? Why keep alive stories that may not be true? It all feels a little slimy.

The show, or at least the first half hour, is slimy and shallow. I keep thinking Julie would say it's news worth discussion. No -- it's just celebrity gossip.

I didn't recognize Lauren Tewes?! They should not have had Jack Jones on. Or he should not have agreed to sing. OMG! I turned it off before he finished singing. That hurt my ears. Or my head.

Vanilla Ice isn't my favorite person, but I have to admit I replayed his performance today at least 4 times. It brought back my most fond partying memories

We still listen to Ice Ice Baby fairly regularly. Watched it on youtube last night. I also have the cd. Hubby likes Stop This Train, I Wanna Get Off.
I think it's great that Vanilla Ice has gotten over being bitter about it, and has embraced it. I really think that was due to him being on Surreal Life and when they went to the club, everybody loved the song and him. Really opened his eyes.

Danny DeVito was on the show today telling hilarious stories from what he was a teenager. It got me wondering what he looked like as a kid, so I did a little search. I couldn't believe my eyes.

Last week, Sharon compared Justin Bieber to Leif Garrett. She said that Leif lived under a bridge now and Justin would end up the same way. Well, today, Leif came to tell the ladies that he wasn't living under a bridge and doing much better in life. Sharon then went on to say that she meant it metaphorically. Right. I used to like Sharon but she really needs to curtail what she says. She is becoming a liability to the show.

There was no way she said it as a metaphor. Sarah even argued with her a little that he wasn't living under a bridge, but Sharon insisted he was. I thought Sharon came off pretty bad when she gave that lame excuse to Leif.

I totally agree, Naja. It's just happening way too much with her. She spews things out all the time but heaven forbid someone say something about her family! Of course, I wouldn't take kindly to that either but then you shouldn't be throwing stones.

I'm beginning to agree about Sharon. She's seems to be in such a bad mood lately. She's becoming like Leah Remini (?)to me. Criticizing what the others say and rolling her eyes like their stupid.

Isn't that part of Sharon's persona -- to mouth off and say outlandish and even inaccurate things. Being the wife of an outlandish rock star, that's her "thing".

I've never found her "act" (if that's what it is) appealing. The above is a good example of why I don't enjoy her as anything other than a curiosity.

Just from the bits of her past Sharon has revealed on the show, and stories of her battles and fights with her parents and brother, she has not been a happy camper for a long time. Her children and husband are probably the only people she trusts ans loves. I know she used to manage bands as well as her husband's, so how did she end up on the Talk? She must be friends with somone important.

Cablejockey, I know it's crazy, but Sharon really has had an extensive tv career before The Talk. Besides her family's reality show, she even had her own talk show for awhile.
