Excellent episode last night! Huck is genius! Can't wait to see what Quinn is going to do to Daddy Pope! Can't wait til next week!

When Olivia wasn't hugging her mom, I kept thinking it's her gut telling her something is wrong with Mom's version of the story.

It rarely happens but when it does, it's always weird seeing an item on TV that is a duplicate of something I own. It's a Pottery Barn rug I got about 3 years ago
Btw, I read today that this season was reduced to 18 episodes (from a planned 22). The assumption is this happened because Kerry Washington is pregnant.

Misspoufy, I am fairly new to this show having until recently just seen a little here and there. Why do you call Huck a genius? He was scaring the poop out of his victim and me!!!

I think Huck is more of an evil genius....he's a genius when it comes to computer hacking and research but he's often incredibly evil when it comes to dealing with people that he needs something from.

Irsnappy....Huck is genius because he can be such an evil genius one moment and be like a little boy the next...loyal to a fault to Olivia, nobody is going to hurt her. The actor plays him faultlessly so while he's being evil he's still so good to watch!

I love this show but starting to think this is the season they lose me. Maybe it's because I have lost all affection/respect/etc for Fritz. Because I can see through him, I can't see how someone as savvy as Olivia can't. It seems ludicrous that she would allow herself to be treated this way and keep coming back for more. It borders on abusive at times but never (quoting Dr. Phil LOL) a soft place to fall. Also (without spoiling), Shondra seems to be falling back on her default creating space which is that anytime two attractive people occupy the same space, they must have (or have had) a sexual relationship.

But Daddy Pope...he's just plain scary. He gives me goosebumps.

Rissa, I believe seeing this episode made me understand fully why Melly is the way she is. She could have had LOVE, but instead she chose power by aligning with Fitz and it cost her dearly (the rape by Daddy in law). It gave great insight to see her backstory in a little more depth.

What you say makes sense but didn't we already figure out that Mellie is the way she is because her father-in-law raped her?
I second the opinion about Olivia's father. He is a long time favourite actor and he plays his role so well.

I also think it was David. He's the one who's investigating the Daniel Douglas murder and he's the one who has the ability to prosecute it. It doesn't make sense to murder James.
