Excellent show. James Spader is awesome in this part. It's fast-paced and well-written. I'm definitely in.

I think I am hooked also. Doesn't hurt that James Spader is from Massachusetts.

I love that they repeated it on Saturday because I can't stay up on a work night. I predict he's her dad.

I wonder if Spader is now bald or shaved his head for his part.

I saw an interview with James Spader and he said his character isn't obsessed with Keen. He said a better description is that he has a vested interest in her. I wonder what that means? I know what "vested interest" means, but I wonder how it applies to his interest in her.

Enjoyed Ep 2 just as much as 1, maybe even more. Less gruesome. Love the twists and manipulation. Hope the writing remains this tight and interesting.

I think he is her Dad too. I really like this show. The hour flies by too quickly. I'm always ready for more. Great music choices as well (The Stones and Nina Simone).

He really changed the subject fast when she asked if he knew her parents. If he isn't her father he knows a lot more about her than she knows herself.

Only one thing disappointed me. It was the interminable chase scene to burn up time. I hate that in a show. Good old DVR save me from uttering bad words as I could just skip through that part as I do all chase scenes

I know this isn't a spoiler, but it's my theory - I've written in white - highlight if you want to read - I'm betting he was coerced into selling secrets (family threatened) or maybe it *was* part of a deep cover double agent plan & he had his family put into a witness protection program - changed names, etc. So he was dragged into the underbelly of the world but basically as a deep cover double agent. He stayed there til his child/ren were grown (with no contact - so that they couldn't be traced to him) & he probably guided her into a vocation that would teach her self defense. Now he's ready to expose EVERYONE on a long, long list & have her by his side so that some day she will understand why he had to abandon her & the necessity of his actions.

I'm just loving the show. Spader has presence, and this role really fits him as an actor.

Spader could read the phone book and I would watch. Will, I love your theory, works for me too. I wish this was on USA or TNT. They are so much better with these shows. I don't trust network television.
