Canada gets The White Queen on Sept. 6th (on Superchannel). Is it worth timing in? Any first reactions?

Rissa, I'm afraid I didn't like it. It seemed light on story & heavy on nudity & sex. Which really isn't my taste, so I might not have judged fairly. I didn't watch the whole hour, so the story might've developed more in the second half hour.
I'll be interested to know what others think of it.

LOL Then it will probably be one of those shows hubby watches in his office on his own (along with Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, etc). So many shows are just too dark, depressing and graphic for my taste. Want to get up from tv feeling entertained not shocked and traumatized. LOL

LOL...Oh well, it wasn't dark, depressing or traumatic. It might even seem romantic to some, it's just that personally I prefer more courtship before people start ripping their clothes off.

We really enjoyed The White Queen. Not sure about all the little details but the story line was true to history and we saw the beginning of a very strong marriage with significant impact on English history. It's now on the DVR list.

Anyone watching Broadchurch ??? It's a British thriller, the director is a bit ennerving, just when it gests interesting he ends the scene with the most suspicious shot of what it could be... drat!!!
It's a bit slow at first but then you can get hooked because every scene ends with that suspense shot.. and you want to know more.

Ok, am I hearing that White Queen is going to be on Starz? I don't usually get Starz, but we get it while Showtime is off. Does anyone watch Dexter? And is the final played yet?

Dexter still has 4 episodes left for this final season, and White Queen is already up to its 3rd ep this Saturday on Starz.

One of my favorite guilty pleasure shows,
"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia", is starting its 9th season on Sept 4.
The catch is that it instead of being on FX, it is moving to FXX, their new station that opens for business on Sept 2.
If you go to this page and type in your zip code and choose your tv provider, it will tell what channel the new FXX station is on in your area.

FXX supposed to be replacing Fox Soccer channel.

I'm pretty disappointed to see The Neighbors moved to Friday nights. It's not a Friday night show, it's a M-Th show. I hope they rethink that decision.

The latter series has Daniel Radcliffe and Jon Hamm, depicting a doctor's life at various ages.

Interesting news from ABC, they are trying out "split season, non-stop schedules" for some of their biggest shows, I guess because people complain about the reruns.
Grey's Anatomy, Scandal and Once Upon A Time are going to have 11 new shows in a row starting September, then they are breaking until February (March for Once), when the remaining 12 episodes (11 for Once) will be shown in a row.
Nashville and Revenge will do some thing similar but "with limited repeats and preemption," whatever that means.
