I spent the last couple months excited that "Nashville Star" was coming back. The contest like Idol, except for country singers. Now that I am looking around the net, I see no sign of it coming back. Was I confusing it with the drama called "Nashville"? Or is Nashville Star coming back? If it is coming back, I can't find anything about it now.

I'm guessing you may have confused it with new prime time Nashville.

I think I remember Nashville Star. Don't remember hearing anything about it lately. Few more years back, was there maybe a semi-reality show set in Nashville?

"Impractical Jokers" is back December 13 on TruTV. It's my absolute favorite hidden camera show of all time.

I just watched Jeff Probst's show yesterday and he interviewed 4 women that are Army wives. They are starring in a show called Married to the Military: Alaska. I have it recorded and will watch when I get time this weekend. Wondering if anybody else watched or is going to watch it. I am a military wife of 19 years so I'm really curious to see what they show. Sidenote: I did not watch the show Amry Wives.

I know I posted a few days ago, but in just a few minutes on TRUTV channel, my favorite practical jokes show of all time starts up again. "Impractical Jokers". I have my tylenols ready for afterward because this show makes me laugh out loud and so hard that I get a bad headache. I had to ice my headache for a couple hours after watching a marathon of the show when I first discovered it.

I watched the first few episodes of Impractical Jokers and the first episode was hysterical but each time I watched it, the novelty wore off a little more and I found myself just feeling embarrassed for them, but not in a good way. "If you ever get a chance to see Weiner's Circle, that one's good too!" Is The Weiner's Circle returning? I watched that when it started earlier this year (or last year?) and it totally cracked me up...but then it vanished from the schedule. I think they only aired 6 episodes. I found the web site for it and they do have 6 episodes available to watch online, but I think those are the same 6 episodes they aired when it aired on TV....and I can't find any season 2 premiere date or any schedule showing when The Weiner's Circle airs on TV again. http://www.trutv.com/shows/the-wieners-circle/index.html#hpt=nav_shows2

Dang it. I googled around some more and I found one article from March that refers to it as a "six-episode series" so it looks like those 6 eps are all they did. ------ Wiener's Circle mayhem gets reality TV treatment March 19, 2012|By Steve Johnson | Tribune reporter The Wiener's Circle, Chicago's legendarily abusive late-night hot-dog stand, has gotten the reality show that was probably inevitable. The six-episode series, called “The Wiener’s Circle,” begins on Tru TV Tuesday at 9 p.m. The cable channel did not make the show available for preview, but it says the series is six episodes long and was shot last fall. http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2012-03-19/entertainment/chi-wieners-circle-reality-tv-show-20120319_1_reality-show-wiener-s-circle-mayhem

If anyone sets season passes, these new shows (and many others I haven't noticed) can now be set up: Deception, NBC starts Mon 1/7 Cougar Town, TBS (not ABC), starts Tue 1/8 Joe Schmo Show, Spike, starts Tue 1/8 OK, when I started typing I thought there were going to be more! Guess we have to wait a little while longer...

One that Kitt just mentioned in the post before mine. "Shameless". Season 3 starts in about 40 from the time of this post on Showtime. I'm guessing you don't watch it(?), because it's the craziest family on tv.

The promos for the new ABC show, "Zero Hour" look pretty intriguing. Plot description: Zero Hour from ABC revolves around a bizarre twist of fate that pulls a man who's spent 20 years as the editor of a skeptics magazine into one of the most compelling conspiracies in human history. ABC has a promo video on their website. Looks a little like Da Vinci code meets Raiders of the Lost Ark. Can't tell if will involve time travel or flashbacks. I love this kind of show, but almost hesitate since it's on ABC. Still upset that after canceling 666 Park Avenue and the promise that they would give us a conclusion, it looks like we will probably never get one.

Cult starts tonight on the CW channel. It's about a cult on a tv show, led by Robert Knepper (T-Bag from Prison Break) that somehow spread into its viewers. Sounds curious and Robert Knepper is always worth watching, and would be an amazing cult leader, he's so charmingly psychotic! It's at 9pm, and clashes with lots of things, but it's previewing at http://www.cwtv.com/cw-video/cult already (and hulu.com).

Just changed the thread name to something more generic and this post should move it to the top so it's easier to find.

Defiance Starting Monday on SYFY http://www.defiance.com/en/series/about In the year 2046, it’s a new Earth – with new rules. Over thirty years after various alien races arrived on Earth, the landscape is completely altered, terraformed nearly beyond recognition. To the town of Defiance, on what used to be St. Louis, comes the mysterious Nolan (Grant Bowler) and his charge, Irisa (Stephanie Leonidas). As they settle into town – overseen by the mayor, Amanda Rosewater (Julie Benz) and filled with residents like the powerful Rafe McCawley (Graham Greene), enterprising lounge owner Kenya (Mia Kirshner) and the ambitious, alien Tarrs (Tony Curran and Jaime Murray) - events begin to unfold that threaten the fragile peace this border town has fought for. Here is a link to a trailer http://www.defiance.com/en/series/video/2616819
