Recorded this and just watched. Loved it! Of course it doesn't hurt that I am also a "Dirty Dancing" fan. Loved how they incorporated that into the show. This might be a winning cast and show.

Good show. I give these shows a break usually. The pilot episodes of many shows are not usually as good as the show gets. Characters need to be established. I try to give them at least 3 shows.

I really liked it. I wasn't expecting her to be an awkward type, but loved that aspect of it.

Im not sure. If its going to be every week where the guys 'rescue" her from different situations, then Ill probably pass.I thought the end where the guys were singing to her was alittle hokey.

Each of her roommates have issues too so I would think there could be lots of stories/episodes dealing with their quirks. She is a nice foil to their needs and inadequacies. I like the message of the importance of standing by a friend and sacrificing "self".

That cuteness would soon bore everyone and the three guys are already boring...

Did you notice Damon Wayans, Jr is on both this AND Happy Endings? That guy's busy.

Fox has issued a full-season pickup for freshman series New Girl. That makes it this Fall's first new show on any broadcast network to get picked up for a full season. 11 new episodes have been ordered, topping up its total to 24.

Looks like they already replaced Damon Wayans, Jr. I wonder if he filmed it before they decided to renew Happy Endings. Glad to hear Fox is keeping it. It's adorable. Loved the guys in the hats.

BamaK, check out Hulu and other online sites for your show. You might have some luck...

Yes - they hired Damon when everyone figured that Happy Endings was dead. Then it got picked up and he had to be replaced after the Pilot. But they decided not to reshoot the Pilot as it had gone over so well! I'm glad it got picked up - I like it!

At least they didn't just replace him as if he was the same guy. They actually explained it. I hate when they replace someone after pilot and just pretend it's the same person.

Loved, loved, loved the modified chicken dance at the end. I also love that she refuses to be someone she's not. She's a beautiful, awkward nerd and that's absolutely fine.

She's genuine and I think that's what we like about her. We can all relate to her "awkwardness" at times. The chicken dance at the end was great in slow-mo. She is the 'glue' that seems to keep these dysfunctional guys together. They are equally nerdy, IMHO.

I record a lot of these new shows and when I need help getting sleepy I watch them. They do help. Some more than others. This one does help me.

I'm surprised more people here don't talk about this show. It's consistently funny. Schmidt is a huge source of amusement. His resolutions list was hilarious!

We LOVE this show in our household. My 15 year old son and I always crack up watching it. It is a good show and the characters are growing on me. This last one, with the threesome was hilarious.
