I just read on buddytv that Ted Danson will be joining the cast of CSI. I really hope that he breathes life back into this show because it really in the past has been good.

I always liked Ted Danson. I agree last year was not a very good year for the program. Dark and dreary. I realize it is CSI, but still.

They tried to get Tony Shalhoub, Robin Williams, and John Lithgow, before signing Ted Danson. I think they would've been okay with any of those guys, and Danson will be great.

I accidently deleted the final episode from last season. Did Haskell kill Laurence Fishburn's character? I read that Fishburn wasn't coming back next season.

Yes, I think this show got kick started with Danson coming on. He's been great.
Last episode depressed me, though.

All most anything would be an improvement over last season. It was not Fishburn's fault, the writing was just so dark and dreary. I have been enjoying Ted Danson's character.

I will pick this show up again, I have really enjoyed the two shows I have seen. It did get a little to dark for me previously.

I just wanted to know if it is only me, or is anybody else enjoying CSI this season? It has kind of regained some of its spark with Ted Danson.

As much as I generally like Fishburn, the show had become pretty dreary and a little preachy. I think Ted Danson has done an amazing job. He's playing an interesting character and he has breathed some life back into the show.

I absolutely love Ted Danson on CSI. While I like Fishburn in other projects - he just always brought me down on CSI. Not to mention the fact that I hated how they dragged out the Haskell storyline.

I like how Ted Danson's character is odd and somewhat mysterious like how Grissom used to be.
Sorry if this was discussed already, but does anyone know why "Catherine" is leaving the show?

Yes, his quirkiness brings a much needed lighter feeling to the show.
I think that Marg Hellenberger is just ready for something new...she has been on the show for a long time. I think she and that FBI guy will end up together...either romantically or maybe she will be offered a job with the bureau.

So much for Willows and Handsome.FBI.Dude. ending up together. I'm thinking she goes into Witness Protection so they can always bring her back if they want to.
