Guesses for new set:

1. USA

2. 3

3. Buffalo

4. Red Sea - The time our cruise ship got surrounded by Somali pirates in the Gulf of Oman, our captain said we would be safe once we entered the Red Sea, as the pirates would not follow us in there.

5. hog/pig

6. Audrey Hepburn

7. inhaler

8. Cyrus

9. Psycho

10. Kangaroo, too easy

We played a lot of trivia on the cruise we returned from today, did not make top four of the 26+ progressive trivia (cumulative scores over the length of the cruise) teams who played all 10-11 sea days that progressive trivia was held. We did make the leader-board of top 10 or so teams at various points. It is very difficult to win at trivia on cruise ships these days, as each line tends to re-use their trivia questions, and many of those playing have been on many, many cruises of their favorite cruise line and have memorized the answers to the really hard questions.

I did have a partner this time who suddenly realized I might not be joking when I confessed that I sometimes I just "make up" answers and they are right. She exclaimed, "you really do just snatch those answers out of the air!" when I made a wild guess at something, and then it turned out to be correct. Y'all are used to me making up answers here, and I usually confess when I do it.

Oh, and yes, we are back. It was pure living hell fighting our way back home from getting off the ship in Brooklyn to Seattle - delays getting off the ship, delays getting on tour buses for multiple hundreds of people who all booked a package deal, delays with overbooked flights to everywhere at the Newark airport, and when we finally got to Seattle, the hotel shuttle and car park shuttles were all full, and it was creeping on toward midnight, and we waited an hour and a half for the hotel shuttle, and finally took a taxi to the hotel post-midnight, and also pissed off the taxi driver who only got $25 for the 1.5 mile run to our hotel.

Bwahahahaha!!! I, of course, watched Snow White as a child, as in THE original Snow White film, in a theater, whose admission price was probably no more than 25 cents, and I sure as hell don't remember any fairies, but it is such a stupid question to ask if there were indeed NO fairies, so I made something up.
