Oh, man was I sweating today. I was really busy today, so I played the game a couple minutes at a time with hours in between. I was like on 3rd and 4th guesses, looking into the abyss. I was processing diphthongs like crazy. Got it during a commercial watching Celebrity Big Brother. LOL

For the last few days, people might have been playing with different words (happened with my family). The NY Times acquired the rights to Wordle and recently removed some of the word solutions (because they were offensive/insensitive/obscure).
The game is just going through a fixed list of solutions and NYT altered that list. Apparently, depending on whether your browser refreshed or not, you might be playing off the new list or the old list:
