When Burnett started he used to do the Ecco Race, I loved it, this looks very much like it and it should be fabulous.

I'm watching Extreme Makeover Weight Loss Edition and I am only 12 minutes in and I am crying my eyes out for this woman. I never watch weight loss shows, but for some reason this woman seemed interesting to me so I figured I would stay on the channel. I just want to hug her and tell her she can do it!

I'm about 38 minutes into the show and I totally don't understand how losing 50 lbs in 3 months means you didn't hit your goal. That's too much too fast! My goodness, I would think losing 10 lbs in a month would be considered spectacular. I don't claim to know much about anything, but 50 lbs in 3 months seems like too much itself, let alone it being considered not enough.

prolly depends on how big they were. 50 lbs off a 400 lb person isnt that much of a loss

Yes, it is all relative. AT 125 if I lost the same percentage, I would lose 15 pounds in three months. Between 1 and 2 pounds a week is what most diet programs recommend, and that percentage is barely over a pound a week.

She looked so happy at the end of the show I am so glad I watched After her surgery for the skin removal, I thought her middle seemed a little oddly shaped, but I am sure she prefers that to being 350+ lbs.

re: Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition. The surgery kinda bugged me as I don't think she was in an emergency situation that couldn't wait until she hit her goal weight. Seems to me she will (hopefully) continue to lose that last 60 pounds at the same time scars are forming and trying to heal and the procedure was done in the best interest of the show not the patient. Besides that I was impressed with her. Most of that year she was on her own and losing motivation for a few weeks is not a shocker. Obviously she picked herself back up to lose a bunch more weight in the last 12 wks even while recovering from surgery. The show reminded me A LOT of 'I used to be Fat' that was on MTV.

I was impressed with her too. I felt bad that her mom was not very supportive at first or after the 1st 6 mos. I was happy that mom lost a lot of weight too. I just wish that she would have worn a different dress for that final reveal. It was held together by a pin. That is probably going to really bother her when she sees herself on tv.

Anyone remember Fear Factor, an old "reality" show on NBC? Anyone miss it? Well, it's coming back. Proof that NBC has no new ideas.

i can understand with the success of ABC's WipeOut that they would drag it back out.

We liked Fear Factor, too. I'd crack up when the stuff was so gross that even Joe, the host, would gag...lol

ROFLMAO, Lexie_girl. You are too funny! Ann, Damages is only being shown on DirectTV this season. Season 4 will start on Direct TV 101, now called the Audience Network, on July 13, 2011.
