New Netflix show, a bit like The Traitors.

Cast is here: https://www.marieclaire.com/culture/tv-shows/million-dollar-secret-cast/

First three episodes now online.

Three more next Wednesday.

Two more the Wednesday after that.

I love it when they air shows in small chunks, so you can chat about them mid game!

Spoilers if you haven't watched the first three episodes...

Episode 1: good!

Episode 2: great!

Episode 3: I was really frustrated how it went! Now no one is going to reveal they were the Millionaire, and they're going to get all cliquey trying to reduce the number of players in the game by getting rid of their enemies, rather than revealing who is the current Millionaire!

The good thing is they might not be so blatant about it next time, as the reveals narrowed the field down to three, two of which (but not the Millionaire!) were the cliquey vocal ones.

I like most of the group who were on Lauren's side, plus Phil. Don't like Sydnee, Jaimi, and whichever of Chris or Corey it was who was shouting at Lauren. They all seemed to build innocent comments up in their minds to justify getting Lauren out. Plus attacking someone for lying in a reality show is always grating.

Million Dollar Secret is a new reality show on Netflix and it's so good. It's kind of like The Mole and a little bit of Traitors rolled into one show. The first three shows dropped on Wednesday.

Million Dollar Secret is really good. At first, it felt a lot like a "The Traitors" knockoff, but there are differences that make it so much fun.

It's taped in Kelowna, BC Canada at "The Stag" stunning luxury villa. The show features the food that contestants are served and they look so amazing! You can stay there for $17,000 Canadian a night (minimum 3 nights)!

This private chateau, Château Okanagan, sprawls across 44 impeccably maintained acres in Kelowna, Canada.

Known for its French-inspired elegance, the villa sits on the shores of Okanagan Lake, offering breathtaking views and an exclusive atmosphere.

The venue operates on a single-reservation basis, meaning if you and your group decide to book a stay, you'll have the entire place to yourselves.

The property has the capacity to house up to 16 guests and boasts a range of amenities including offices, a multi-purpose ballroom, wine cellar, a separate beach house, a games room, theatre, fitness room, library and more.

The estate comes fully staffed with a chef, as well as concierge and valet services.

Yeah... The Stag and the location on the lake are absolutely stunning.

One thing I did notice which struck me as really really odd is how well dressed they are - especially for evening dinner. I'm wondering if they were given a clothing allowance before they flew out there.

I suspect that they were asked to dress like "millionaires". Also, to bring evening wear and dinner attire.

Yeah but Strategist, one girl said she flips burgers at Carl's Jr. I don't think she has that kind of money for the wardrobe they are wearing. And didn't Lauren say she's a "country girl" from North Dakota? I'm a working "city" girl in N.O. and I don't have the dinner attire they are wearing.

I'm dying on this hill that they were given an allowance to buy clothes.

Hubby believes they were given an allowance or that they are dressing them.

I'm with your hubby Strategist. There's no way they could afford dressy evening wear for two weeks.

Everyone keeps saying it loosely reminds them of The Traitors but to me the show reminds me of The Mole.

Phil really screwed up voting out Lauren instead of Sydnee because now they know the Millionaire is one of three people.

I hope they make it so he has to do a task to give away the million (which he'd be stupid not to want at this point). I don't blame him for not attempting the previous task (getting someone to say they didn't trust him... how is that a good thing for him!!) but I don't think it should be an option they do often.

I agree about episode 3 -- so frustrating! I was giddy that they seemed to not realize that they just outed themselves as to who the millionaire might be -- just three suspects now. I do think Lauren was a bit too confident and I think that rubbed them the wrong way, so they got very narrow minded in voting her out. But the cliquiness of it all was grating, and how rude and loud they got was as well. So I hope it leads to their demise. I expect to see a lot of tears. I enjoyed the show and I wish I didn't have to wait for eps to drop.

I dont think their clothes are as extrodinary as the outfits they all wear on Traitors. I am sure the show dresses the contestants on both shows. I think this show also gives them hair and makeup people

It is really hard to hide you are the millionaire in this game with them narrowing it down to so few people each week. I cant stand Sydnee

MY thoughts after watching today's ep 4............................... Dont keep reading if you havent watched ep 4 on 4/2/25

This show is flawed in the fact there is no advantage to voting out the millionaire each week. They had the right idea to get out a strong player today, especially since they knew the money was going to move anyway.

I liked Sydnee more in this ep

I am not wild about this show. The giving of a clue that is so obvious to identify the millionaire just tips the scales in controlling the competition. I will keep going but this is way too much in the power of producers.

I agree Maris. I think they wanted the guy that broke his tooth to go. That clue was sooooo obvious!

Yeah, there is no way that clue is not a dead giveaway. Hopefully the show makers are learning from their own mistakes as the show progresses. So far it's a weak contender. Good concept, but the execution is lacking at this point.

I can't believe I'm saying this after last week's episodes, but Sydnee has done a 180 for me and I'm totally rooting for her.

I've softened to her a bit. i've softened more to the cop (who I wanted out first). but so far no real favorites. I'm really not seeing this show as something that will last. don't you think they will figure out that it's the person who got the clue that also got an "agenda"? And the sharing of the clue with everyone! What's the point of being on the winning team? I would only share with the other winners!

the clues add no value and I think this is a pretty lame show. Will watch to the end but zero tension or anticipation

that task at final 4 was bullshit, esp since it allowed Cara to throw it! I felt so bad for Sydnee. The final challenge was just a crap shoot!
I wont watch this again unless they overhaul it

I thought the very final game was a good one, with them needing to swap the correct box contents by working out the others’ thoughts.

The rest, though, was very badly thought through by the producers. In the early rounds, the person with the money isn’t the threat, the only threat is someone who thinks you have the money, or just doesn’t like you and wants you out. They’re the person to target.

And each time the money is swapped, it wipes out anything you’ve gained in the previous rounds, except the reduction in number of contestants.

The clues have often been too obvious (Scream), and the tasks too weird to complete properly.

Having a group win the award to go in the chamber, but then just pick one to get the clue is silly.

Just a mess really. Promising start but overall a bust.

Yeah... what Kitt said. I watched until the end only because I had time invested in the show but I agree it needs a complete overhaul.
