Maybe I'll skip Pt. 1 of the reunion and just go to Pt. 2.

Didn't the chef prepare the sushi? Or did Daisy have it brought on board?

Yes, the chef prepared the sushi at Daisy's request, so I see your point. Ileisha should have insisted that Daisy put some sort of protection layer under the sushi, since she did have to go to the trouble of making it.

The triangle was kind of wrenching to watch. All three were hurt by it and it also upset the other crew members to see how it unraveled. I'm afraid Daisy had too much fun being the center of the attention until it wasn't fun anymore. She said she felt like a piece of meat between the two of them but she allowed it by not putting out boundaries. Colin didn't deceive her as she likes to say and Gary was just Gary, pushing his luck as far as he could. I was also disappointed that Daisy brought Ileisha into it. She didn't deserve that and no one agreed about there being any problem there. Daisy, I believe, truly liked Colin and is sick to have lost him but she was having too much fun playing the game of being so sought after and lost him. She is now very hurt and vengeful but it is not a good look.

I rewatched it, but I made sure to have the closed captioning on this time. :-)

And none of them are angels in this situation. Daisy was right about one thing. She's the only one that gets shit about it and and shamed for it. Colin and Gary get off scot free.

You know what's scary? That we probably don't even know the half of it lol There are probably still a few skeletons left in the closet. If they have another season with the same crew (if that's even possible) will they all still "get along"

I think next season is filming right now. Glen, Gary and Daisy are supposedly in Spain and filming together and Colin is on his boat in French Polynesia. I predict Gary and Daisy will be back together again.

In case anybody's interested, here my recaps for the two-part reunion:

Part 1: https://www.realitytea.com/2023/07/18/below-deck-sailing-yacht-season-4-reunion-part-1-recap/

Part 2: https://www.realitytea.com/2023/07/19/below-deck-sailing-yacht-season-4-reunion-part-2-recap/

I really felt sorry for Daisy. They both used her and then blamed her! And Colin really came off as an ass for having another girl on the side and just expecting Daisy to be okay with that. Especially when he was giving her such a hard time about Gary. Daisy basically cried through the whole second half of the show, and she didn't get much sympathy from the others, even though she was obviously hurting.

I think on a personality scale Daisy is a good 10. I think it is rare to see someone being as fun, outgoing and handling themselves as well as Daisy.

On Colins sailing channel, you can see where Daisy was at a couple of the boat shows and how people responded very positively towards her.

On the various platforms you can see "some" of the interactions they had. But you have to remember these are filtered to a degree. You see what you get to see. That is with any media of course including Bravo, Youtube, Twitter(assuming) and Instagram.

One more thing, we probably need to define what hooking up is and what sleeping together is. I know what having sex is. But not so sure about the definitions of the others.

Yes, I agree with your comments, Tiernet.

Babyjax, I didn't have the impression that Colin had a girl on the side. They worked together on his boat and he had had a non serious relationship with her but he parted with her before he left to join the yacht for the new season. He had told her about Daisy and how he was looking forward to being with her if possible. When he met Daisy he also told her about Brit and said there was nothing lasting between them. This might have been a good time for Daisy to explain about Gary also but she didn't. Colin didn't know they had been together and he asked about interfering between the two of them and they both assured him there was nothing but their actions didn't match up. Daisy was the one with someone on the side that she kept in constant physical contact with, not Colin. She also kissed Alex after she and Colin had began seeing each other. It appeared to me she was the one using the two men to play against each other.

Daisy, Gary and Colin are all on Project Runway this week. I wonder when this episode was taped. Before or after this past season.

This season was taped well over a year ago because Capt. Lee and Capt. Sandy were still speaking to each other (also Capt. Lee wasn't on a cane)

Why are Lee and Sandy on the outs? Saw the episode last night and Gary was as disgusting as ever. It wasn't a good night for poor Anna.

It goes back to last season of Below Deck when Capt. Lee was sick and had to leave the boat. Sandy took over and she fired two crewmembers (both deserved to be fired). Lee got pissed off that she didn't tell him first but technically she was the captain of the boat - it was her decision. Trust me this pains me to agree with Capt. Sandy. Also, it's not like he hired the crewmembers - they are hired by production. The whole thing got very ugly on social media. Many think that may be the reason why there was no reunion that season.

Last night's episodes were extremely disturbing. Not only were Laura and Luke both predators, but Laura is clearly a sociopath.

I was going to make a comment before the episode was done when I thought Laura's behavior was very similar to Luke`s and I thought nothing was going to be done about it. I agree with both eliminations.

Going back to the evening, keeping in mind the order of events may be edited. I think Aesha ordered another round of shots. To me Margot was clearly drunk at that point, somebody should have stepped in and said that is enough for you. Possibly Aesha realized that afterwards.

Sidenote: I never understood/understand the need/want of shots or bongs or anything that forces alcohol in the system. I do appreciate the awareness of driving under the influence of the younger generations.

To not remember (without non aware drug ingestion) to me is a drinking problem.

From the previews, an interesting season is still ahead.

You very rarely see production breaking the fourth wall on BD shows. I suspect it was worse than what was shown.

I read an interview several years back by a former crewmember who said it is in the contract that they must go out on crew nights (unless they are way too sick to go out or they have an injury which needs medical attention).

Tiernet, you are 100% correct. Drinking to the point of blacking out is one of the signs of alcoholism.

I don't think she's an alcoholic by any stretch of the imagination. If she was she would be drinking all day and all night. (I used to work with a raging alcoholic who kept vodka in a styrofoam cup on her desk in the office).

The problem is production encourages this. They sign a contract that they will go out and drink on crew nights. Unless they are sick with fever or injured, they have to go out on crew nights no matter how tired they are. They were all intoxicated - she just can't hold her liquor as well as everyone else.

But the previews hinted at day drinking at work coming up. And I can't imagine any contract forcing a person to drink.

It's in their contract that they have to go on "crew nights out" unless they are physically unable to do so. It doesn't matter if the charter guests kept them up for 24 hours straight, they still have to go out. How much they drink is on the crew but Margot didn't drink any more than anyone else.

Former HW have often talked about how production encourages the heavy drinking.

Lexie your comment about your coworker brought back memories. Many years ago I also worked with an alcoholic coworker, in a restaurant. We all kept a glass or cup stashed with a beverage in it to grab throughout the shift. I had mine pushed back on a top shelf. I reached up, grabbed my cup and downed the contents. I was very thirty. I realized too late, it was straight 100 proof alcohol that I just guzzled. My coworker had shoved her cup in front of mine. She always kept it full, I was later advised. Not being a drinker, I was "drunk" for the next hour and had to have everyone help me carry trays, doing orders on POS machine etc.

I think all reality shows encourage drinking. That's how they get a good portion of their content.

I think the tide started turning, on Bachelor in Paradise. When Corinne and DeMario were in the hot tub and she was drunk out of her mind and production continued filming what was described as soft porn. One of the producers that witnessed it didn't show up the next day and then proceeded to sue. That's when they started limiting the free drinks to 2.

Real Housewives relies on drunken fights and/or someone taking off their clothes.

Snookie/Nicole has voiced concerns in the past. JWow/Jenny just said on a podcast how she doesn't feel "safe" around Andy. He asked her about having plastic surgery. She said it's 2023 and it's not something you should ask anybody. Remember when he revealed Kyle has breast reduction and she had not told anyone? That's the first thing he says to every one of them, to list their plastic surgery. It's nobody's business. I'm waiting for him to get rid of the shot glass board

Over time there has been more and more reality people standing up against inappropriate treatment from production. Now much of this is coming to light with the movement to start a union for reality tv employees. Lots of really dark stuff coming to light

On one reality show, they kept telling the person to go have a drink at the bar. They showed app for their correct call time, but production kept delaying it….until the person was drunk. Then they were ready to film.

This is the first time I have seen a head stew concerned and actually taking steps to protect her crew. Both from each other and production. I applaud Aesha! She has shot up to a 10-plus in my eyes. Also Captain Jason. I will bet that the only reason production even intervened was because of Aesha.

When reality is no longer reality. When it's not just about the lives of the people on the show...and more about hangovers, drinking, fighting, drama scandals etc. Time to clean it up. Doesn't help that people are so thirsty to stay on the show or to be asked back, that they manufacture storylines, fights and being drunk.

I'm waiting for the reality industry to clean up their act. There are plenty of reality shows that I enjoy that show no drinking.

ITA SinceBB1. My point is I don't think Margot is an alcoholic. She's a young girl (in her 20s) who drank too much. I know my friends and I did the same thing when we were in our 20s and into our early 30s. She clearly doesn't have the tolerance for liquor that some of her co-workers have. If she were an alcoholic, it would have become abundantly clear much sooner because she would be drinking from morning until night.
