All of the top 3 were my favorites this season, but their order surprised me a bit.

loved the roast too! had me laughing out loud multiple times.

fine with the winners although not in my top 5 even... if Sarah James had done her Elton John song this week instead of last time, it might have been different with where she ranked.

If the dancing team wins this im done, this should be based on talent not back stories

LOL That's why I hate typing from my phone! The team that won was off in their moves on Tuesday night.

We are usually pretty good at picking the winners. I picked all the finalists from the semi-finals round. But we were shocked at last night's results (actually two nights ago, but we watched it on Peacock sans commercials last night).

Our top two picks were Drake Milligan (I know EXACTLY what you're talking about, Naja! He makes me feel some kinda way--so cute!) and Chapel Heart, even though they blew it on Tuesday night. They are extremely talented singers and songwriters. Both Chapel Heart and Drake Milligan will have careers in Nashville, though. It may be better they didn't win this show, cause they're not locked into a restrictive contract. They'll probably still get to perform in the Vegas show, too.

LOL Jimmer!

I think it was more that I didn't like the format this year, more than anything.

Like what was the point of the Golden Buzzers? Other than to infuluence America's vote? They didn't get any benefit other than that.

I didn't mind the format. I feel like I didn't have to see the crappier acts over and over.

And I didn't even know the winners had a sad story. I FF through most of the personal stories.

I understand, Naja, I do that too. But I still think the Golden Buzzers were pointless this season.

I’m finding these shows more and more manipulative each passing season. I don’t know if they actually are that way or if it’s me becoming more aware and cynical.

Yes, I feel the same. On all of these shows...it's about the sob story. To get the votes.

I have a friend who puts together the video stories on these reality contestants. They are so fed up being told to concentrate on the drama. So it's not just us lol it actually is also THEM.

I don't mind hearing the back stories. It's nice to know where people are coming from. We look at this show as pure entertainment and aren't really invested in who wins. We never even bother to vote. We just like to watch and try to predict the outcome. Some very talented people this year. I'm sure this show will give each of them a boost in their career. And not just the winner gets to be in the Vegas show. A lot of the runners up will also get to be on stage.

I like backstories...not sob stories lol But it IS free promotion and catapults them forward in the entertainment world

I like hearing how people have overcome sad things in their lives. You're probably too young to remember a show back in the 60s called "Queen for a Day" (I was really little, like 4 or 5). Now there's a show that capitalized on sob stories. Whoever had the biggest sob story would win some kind of household appliance. It was kind of pathetic.

Yeah, BabyJax, it's always been that way, so not sure why humanizing people is a bad thing. In fact, we need more empathy these days, and their stories matter.

It really has nothing to do with not wanting to empathize. It has to do with these shows wanting to take up 2 hours of my evening when I have too much to watch as it is.

I was kind of relieved Terry Fator didn't make it. Those 3 bendy girls are fantastic. I'm happy for them.
