Grooch, she's not closing SUR - she's closing Pump. The landlord jacked the rent up to $1M a year (a little more than $83K a month)

I also read an article where the landlord said he never changed the rent, and he also forgave some of what was owed during Covid. I think Lisa's just got too many balls in the air, what with opening two new restaurants in Vegas. Pump may have not been performing well, so she decided it was time to ditch it. I can see her blaming the landlord, rather than admitting they were losing money.

Truth be told, Lisa Vanderpump has had many legal troubles with her restaurants over the years. Villa Blanca, Sur, Pump, TomTom all have gotten sued over nonpayment of bills from purveyors, non compensation of employees and not paying back taxes. There were even problems with not paying liquor license AND serving minors.
Villa Blanca was the first to get shuttered in 2020 (curiously) after losing sexual discrimination, sexual harassment (including battery) lawsuits and payoffs. Back then she blamed the closure of the restaurant on the renegotiation of the lease too.
Even her dog foundation was sued for sexual harassment and intolerable working conditions. None of her businesses seem to be great places to work.
In all honestly, restaurants in general are notoriously horrible for mistreatment of employees. The things that go on in restaurants would be unimaginable in other lines of business. Celebrity owned restaurants (and that includes celebrity chefs) are the most known for intolerable working conditions and abominable treatment of employees. Look at Mario Batali and his despicable behavior
I don't believe for a minute that the closing of Pump is reliant on the rent dispute. Unless the landlord just wants her out lol. She has been shifting her business ventures out of California for a while now. She opened a furniture store and a cocktail lounge in Las Vegas, and now two more restaurants are in the works there.
The only reason Sur is still open, most likely, is that it is co owned (49%) and run by another husband and wife team. TomTom also is partly owned by the Toms and Nick Alain who is also her business partner and creator and manufacturer of her line of lighting and furniture.
But who knows, maybe TomTom is next? That would explain the a lot about the opening of Schwartz and Sandy's and the offer to temporarily refund the Toms their paltry investments

Frankly, they could have added several episodes more. There has been so much happening since they stopped filming.
Doesn't seem that Raquel can still be in a rehab to work on her emotions almost 7 weeks later? That's outpatient therapy stuff. If she has been inpatient for this long...it has to be more serious or something else. Or she is just laying low somewhere
As opposed to Sandoval, who is doing the complete opposite. He is talking to the press, doing interviews, going on getaways and posting on Instagram, and touring with his band.
On a recent gig he even inserted Raquels name in the song he usually sings....Jessie's Girl had been replaced with "Schwartzs Mom". That was weird enough. But it's reported that he sings "Raquel is not for me". Some say they heard "hot for me". In any case....WHY is he mentioning her at all? It's in such poor taste either way.
He is turning out to be quite the despicable character...almost a sociopath.

Tonight's episode...I alternated between cringing while looking at the screen through my fingers or wanting to bang my head against the wall...or at least punch Sandoval, Raquel or Schwartz. Wow just wow....

I just watched last night's episode and I have to say I'm appalled at how often Schwartz defends everyone else rather than Katie. When Raquel was being so obnoxious and rude to everyone (including Katie's sweet mom!) and Schwartz was telling Katie, "She's trying to apologize. Don't push her!" OMG, I wanted to punch him in the d**k! He's such a man baby. Katie isn't perfect, but he's just horrible. I don't know how she put up with him as long as she did.
Can't wait for next week's show, but in an excited/dreading way. Ariana is going to be on WWHL for the first time since she found out about Scandoval. Wow. I just feel so bad for her! Been there, but not so publicly humiliating.

Babyjax I had such an overwhelming urge to punch both Toms and Raquel. I occasionally run in to some of these reality people. Friends of friends, or they work with them, they are at a party etc. I told my husband, if we run into any of them I don't know if I can keep my mouth shut...lol
I do plan on stopping by at the girls sandwich shop to support them after they open. And probably go eat at Pump, one last time before it closes.

I just read that following the three-part reunion there will be a “secrets revealed” episode June 14 that will include additional moments stemming from the affair. So 5 more episodes lol

Cool! They know we want all the dirty details.
Since, that's fun that you run into some of the cast. I agree, it would be hard to keep my mouth shut, too, if I ran into any of them. Although, I tend to be a little shy around famous people. I don't ever want to be "that girl" who annoys people just trying to live their lives.
I would love to go to that sandwich shop. Their sandwiches actually sounded delish.

Ahahaha....Peter just crafted a new cocktail recipe..."Threes a Crowd". Consists of watermelon, strawberries, lime juice, mint, jalapeño and vodka. It should be made with Menage a Trois vodka lol! Perfect, because it's a cheap not very good vodka lol

Oh, and I got a kick out of seeing Houston VPR fans showing up at Sandoval's concert and holding up signs with "Worm with a mustache, "Poo Poo head",and “Team Ariana.” written on them! Also learning that Sandoval was trying to do a two-for-the-price-of-one at the last minute at his Long Island concert. In general they are struggling to sell tickets.
Do you think that that's why Tom shaved his mustache on Howie's podcast? People were now calling him Worm with a Mustache....lol

Grooch I think they all have same earning power just by being on a reality show. Last I heard, Sandoval was making 25K an episode. How much you want to bet it triples for next season.
Then there's the cocktail book that was supposed to be Ariana's, that Tom wormed (with a mustache) his way in on. He has Cameo $50 (since scandal, has been temporarily paused). He posts different products on his instagram (like hydroxycut) etc. He makes celeb appearances.
He also earns revenue from TomTom and Schwartz and Sandy's. He is doing just fine. His net worth is reportedly the highest among the cast (4 million) along with Schwartz and James.
In the past, he has dipped into his own money in order to keep the band together. But I'm not sure that can continue. I hope his band dissolves. He has a "I'm so cool, I'm a Rockstar" complex. Maybe he will find himself an aging guy that has no fans and have an existential crisis. Never liked him, ever. I guess he can always be a restaurant owner or a bartender.

That's 1 million dollars total investment in Schwartz and Sandy's. $250k reportedly from Sandoval's mom and stepfather. I'm sure it was sold to them as an "investment opportunity" lol
Sandoval clearly has bad judgment and no sense of loyalty. He doesn't have common moral and ethical standards...That he borrowed a significant amount of money from his mom, for a volatile and risky investment...no surprise at all....its all about "me, me, me, me, me"

I just can't with Raquel and Sandoval anymore...everyday we learn a new tidbit...and each is same-level shocking as the last. Bad enough Sandoval wouldn't leave a party to go comfort Ariana as she learns her grandmother just passed away. He wanted to stay with Raquel. Now it's that Sandoval and Raquel had sex in her car right after Ariana was grieving the loss of her dog. OMG...do either Raquel or Sandoval have an ounce of...any humanity left in them?
I'm with the rest of the VPR group in saying... Sandoval and Raquel might as well make a go of trying to have a relationship. They blew up their lives for a paltry affair. They are rather perfect for each other. They DESERVE each other. Maybe though it's just not as fun as when you are sneaking around and cheating. Lol

Lol...I just looked up, out of curiosity, what the going price for VPR Cameos. James Kennedy is now charging $200! Ally $45. Peter Madrigal $100. Jax $117 and Brit $150. Scheana $150. Kristen $111. Lisa Vanderpump a whopping $300. And I just had to crack up....Sherri Cartwright...yes Brittany MOM..a very reasonable $35....
