FINALLY! Actual confirmation of the rumors. Yey! But is she staying on as executive producer? It doesn't say. I don't want her fingerprint on this show in any way shape or form. I'm cracking up that she's making it out to be as if she has decided to move on to bigger and better things, and not that nobody could stand her
I'm wondering if they might give the spot to Emma Slater? Since she is already hosting the dance tour show. I like her, she's funny, and she doesn't take herself too seriously. As a pro on the show, she certainly knows dance. I would like somebody in that spot that is a professional dancer. I know Cheryl Burke wants very much to either be a judge or a host.
I'm just hoping they don't make another boneheaded move in appointing the new host. Could we possibly go from the frying pan into the fire?

I don't think they could have just one host, unless they change the format? Usually one host is on the dance floor at the end of their dance when they receive the score. Then the other is upstairs waiting for them to discuss the score.

I was watching Jersey Shore Vacation. The last episode had a compilation of Vinny's appearances on DWTS. They showed the episode where Mike and Pauli were in the audience.
Mike showed up in a Versace shirt. At the time, I said to my husband, oh my gosh, that shirt is probably $3k and it's definitely says I'm wearing Versace! And he had gold rim sunglasses that he wore pushed down on his nose...as he peered over the top.
I was cracking up at all the cast and families from Jersey Shore that were watching the show from home, were commenting on Mike's shirt (how gaudy) and sunglasses (why was he wearing them inside and slid down on his nose) and turns out he had Versace loafers too!

Just read that Julianne Hough is going to be the new co-host (Alfonso is staying -- yay!). I would have liked to have seen Cheryl Burke, but anything's better than Tyra.

You know, I was thinking she might be asked... Since she's been on the show as a pro and as a judge. Well good for her...and good for US lol... Because anything is better than Tyra, you're right!

This is very sad news. I suspect his prostate cancer from years ago, metastasized and spread to his bone.

This makes me really sad. hits close to home as my dad was the same age. I try to find comfort in that they were living their best lives unto their late 70's but it still feels like a huge cheat on time.

His prostate cancer was in 209 and he had a melanoma removed more recently. Could have been from those, or a primary cancer in bones.
He almost made it to 79.

So they're moving DWTS back to ABC in the fall (simulcast on Disney+)...don't know if the decision was made because of the writer's strike or not..

Ahahaha remember how Disney said they were NEVER going to go back to ABC, so you can just forget about it. That Tyra was there to stay, everyone loved her...How they weren't down any viewers...blah blah blah...Well, we called their bluff. They crumbled. Yay
Only other thing I would wish, is Tyra not to still be Executive Producer. Wondering if she is going find a way to screw it up somehow. Lol
