Making a thread for the new season and moving posts over. I'll make a banner as well, when I get the chance. :-)

I'm watching! I was sad that Hangar was eliminated from the individual comp.

One thing I really like about this is that they don't leave.

Yes Kar, me too! I liked both that were in the overtime Comp...I couldn't watch because I didn't want either of them to lose.

I am not liking that one chick...Katherine, I think on the orange team.

I always watch, but can't get drawn into the whole program. Don't know why.

I really like them. They are just ordinary people, often who have had great struggles in life. It's very uplifting (and a little sobering).

The thing I may like most about it is that I always like watching competitions, and there are more of them in this show than others. And I also like how they are so supportive of each other! That's also very uplifting.

Season two contestants were dull, but this season will be as interesting as the first.

Best part of last night's show ...

Navy guy says to Phil "Your are Jeff, right?"

Phil says "No, I'm Phil. Jeff is the Survivor guy."

Except it wasn't Navy, it was US Coast Guard.

[CORRECTION -- too late to edit]

Best part of last night's show ...

Coast Guard guy says to Phil "Your are Jeff, right?"

Phil says "No, I'm Phil. Jeff is the Survivor guy."

[my apologies to the Coasties.]

I was kind of sad to see Mike lose, He and Lea are my favorites. So, go all the way Lea!

I have been a Lia fan since the beginning. I am not sure who the final four are other than Jerome and Lia. Maybe Kalimba and the ex-football guy (whose name I do know, but it is escaping me at the moment)?

The thing is I don't see either of the women winning- even though at least one is guaranteed to make it to the final challenge, that challenge usually is a little too biased towards brute strength (it does have an endurance aspect, but I don't think it's enough- especially with a lot of challenges this year being very detail-oriented, likely not having part of the final one being like that will stick out a bit)

Quincy, Lia, Elizabeth and Jerome, are still in the individual challenge.

Although I do admire the women's ability this season, I still can't warm up to Elizabeth.

Scooter, yeah, she's like cozying up to a porcupine... a little prickly. :-)

I do think she's probably that way because of having a life that made her be so closed off, so I have some empathy for her.

Still I like Lia better. :-)

I think she might win too, Pamy, and I would be very happy if she does, although I will also be happy with any one of them.

I won't give it away in the intro, so people won't see it when they use New messages, but I cried when Lia won. Damn, that is one tough woman. And she has a husband! I just sort of figured her as perhaps having a wife.

And I just now read the article Karuuna posted. Extremely interesting. Mort, a Richfield resident and military veteran, prides herself on doing various trade skill jobs for others in her community. Huh! Who does that? Almost nobody. I looked up where Richfield and Juniata county are - Pennsylvania.

If anybody sees any further interesting articles, please post.

Anybody know how old she is? I am guessing she was the oldest woman playing. Probably oldest ever.

Great job, Lia!!! In fact, unbelievable job.

So happy for Lia's win. Short female, but strong and smart (about untying the knots).

I admit, my eyes got a little wet when Lia won too.

First female winner. So proud of her!

Apparently she is 54 years old. I Googled and got some weird results, which I don't really care tp pursue. She did a great job and was a deserving winner.

I loved it! Yes they had some things geared to their weight, but not the tires and nothing geared to height.

Great winner!
