I haven't watched yet, but have it recorded. I love the story about how they met at the zoo. Jim was dressed in a suit and she does up on her scooter or motorcycle, link hair and a nose ring. She thought they were very differedt.. And she married him! He has worked there since she 14. I love this show the best of the zoo shows.

I didn't know this until today, but Mert the old goose passed away last March I sure liked that old goose.

But they knew he was terminal when they did the last show on him so it was not unexpected...hopefully he got to go peacefully and enjoying his Mert-ness. I know his keepers were devastated.

This is such a sweet show. I like that they give us updates on some of the animals, such as Dave the Red Kangaroo and the Gorilla with heart issues. I even found myself feeling bad for those poor lizards (weren't they beautiful in a lizard-y kind of way?) last night and am hopeful that the remaining ones will survive, and that baby bat! Never thought I would find a bat cute but that one sure was! And then there was that baby goat...

Hahahahahha... the male vulture is 47 years old, the female is 3 "so they probably don't discuss music". I burst out laughing... so true of birds and humans, LOL.

I think it is interesting that this season they are branching out to some of the other area zoos that they are affiliated with...a couple of weeks ago it was the aquarium and this week it was the Queens Zoo and the Central Park Zoo. I like how they all work together with the same goals in mind. I once dated a guy 10 years younger than myself...we didn't discuss music either.

Peaches is so cute!! Cracking up that they had to have 2 size harnesses, and they had to start with the larger one.

And these guys trying to socialize the Gaurs is too funny. Loved the female who stopped for her closeup, LOL. And they are "suspicious of change". And the one keeps stopping to look at the camera.

I am partial to the baby turtles. There aren't too many things more adorable than a tiny baby turtle

"I just asked them nicely to swim into the net and they did", hahahahaha, too funny. They are getting the fish and alligators out of the exhibit so they can scour/clean the glass/plexi from the bite marks, LOL.

Was it on this show last night that they showed the violent Onager mating season? Although it was rather difficult to watch I did laugh about the camel...

Secrets of the Zoo or.. Not this one, as I am only up to April 7 show on this one. Save the best for last. There are three.. One from Ohio, One from the UK and of course The Zoo from NY. That make was a real ass! I guess that is normal but I can now see a good use for bucking and kicking!
