It seemed like they were trying to make it more serious than I thought it should be. And Buddy storming off the set at the end seemed like such a poor sport.

I always assumed Duff would do better cakes than Buddy...although nothing to judge on except watching both shows. For some reason I always think of Buddy's bakery as more of a general bakery (although I know they do lovely speciality cakes) and Duff's bakery as more of a speciality bakery. Not sure that makes sense...LOL!

I thought it started off as a really friendly competition. Unfortunately, Buddy took it to a new level when he stormed off, saying it was rigged. Did he really think he would win every one? Just because HE liked his hotrod better doesn't mean the judge (or the birthday boy) would!
I saw in a preview that he rips his tee shirt and/or jacket. I'm hoping it was all in fun, because his over-the-top attitude that no one can beat him could really spoil this show.

I just watched it. I thought I would be on Duff’s team but after that mess I’m totally team Duffy.
Buddy was so awful, I knew from watching his show that he was temperamental and did not take criticism well.
However I never thought he would be such a sore looser.
Just a little suggestion, if you enter a competition where there are winners and losers, maybe you should realize that you might lose and not throw a temper tantrum. 🤗

Not liking Buddy either and Duff's cake was beautiful and so much work. Who are these judges, never heard of the before.

Buddy seems to think that bigger is always better, instead of being different and creative.
Duff has always been able to make big cakes but he seems to be better at making more "adult" cakes instead of cakes that appeal to children, JMO.

Wow I am very surprised that they gave Buddy that win, I am starting to feel like this whole thing is pre-set for who will win in order to build drama.
Clearly Duff's cake was so much more than Buddy's, I just don't get it.

I much preferred Duff's elephant cake. Size doesn't always matter. I also preferred Duff's carnival snack. He showed more technique than Buddy did.

I figured they are going to ping pong back and forth until the end. I loved Duff's elephant cake but I could also see a lot of design and technique in Buddy's cake (I'm totally Team Duff by the way). I'm not liking Buddy, which is probably why I don't really watch his show very much.

Totally Team Duff- have come to really love him through the baking championships.
That said- when I am in NYC every New Years (NOT for Times Square lol, for concerts) we go to Carlos Bakery every single day- LOVE the lobster tails he made first episode and the red velvet cake.

I thought Duff's elephant cake was a so much better than Buddy's design
I was surprised by Buddy's behaviour in the first and then again second episode. Not thinking too highly of his lack of sportsmanship. It's kinda ruining the show for me

I like Buddy, but I've lost respect for him. Never heard of Duff before, but am team Duff for sure. Seems like a sweet-natured guy and I am drawn to that.

I watched and got too upset at the judging, seriously that carnival how they gave Buddy so many points for his crap, and he finished and sat around? Yeah, nope, I’m done rigged is right

I have ALWAYS been Team Duff! We watched his show from the very first episode to the last. I watched exactly two eps of Buddy's Cake Boss before turning it off and saying, "never again"!
