Anyone watching this show. It's on NBC on Friday nights. Ellen Degeneris is the producer. It's real people on blind dates. I am really enjoying it. It's sweet, not intentionally dramatic, no one appears to be acting for the tv. Last night, two women were on a blind date. They kept using the word 'queer' as in 'do you parents know you are queer?' , being part of the 'queer society'. When did that become an ok word? I always thought it was derogatory.

Texannie, I've been watching. I'm enjoying this show. And like you, I was taken aback by how the girls used the word "queer" so easily in their conversation. Hmmm . . . I guess I'm showing my age because the word "queer" was a no-no to use. It seems it's okay now?? Anyway, this is a good show, very entertaining.

Maybe it is our age, when my cousin came out 40 years ago, it was definitely a bad word. And again, maybe my age....i am loving the older couples!
