I enjoyed Zach's soccer fund raiser. He sure was out of his comfort zone making that speech but it turned out great.

It looks to me that both Amy and Matt have equally sabotaged their marriage. I know it's not a popular view but I see matts pov more than I see Amy's. Matts motto is - it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission and Amy's is - woe is me. I'm surprised that the twins turned out as well as they have.

When Amy took her two daughters in law out to dinner and they talked about what she would do differently from the beginning and she said she would stand her ground on things. It made me remember that we didn't know this family early in their marriage.. and those years set the tone. She said Matt pushed for the marriage right away, even wanted to do it without family but she held out for an actual wedding with family but then he was the breadwinner, she was having the kids and she just let him do his thing. I think by the time the show started filming she was starting to rebel, which he didn't like and maybe he pushed even harder to get his way and that made for "good tv".. all the projects and such But I think she was always fighting the situation from a place of having little power. Then as the kids got older and Amy found out that she COULD go out and do a speaking gig and was well received and she could have her charity and such.. well she had outgrown Matt in some ways and that didn't work for Matt. And from Matt's perspective, he spent years being in charge and worked very hard and in the process wasn't involved in the day to day of the kids.. he was.. well look how he acted at the recent event with the kids in need for Amy's charity.. he swooped in, planned an extravagant light show tour, refused to work with Amy on the scheduling or even the details, took the kids away and wowed them of course but it was Amy and her crew who actually found out what each individual kind needed/wanted most to give them as a gift and planned for interactive projects the kids could take with them. Totally different styles. In a way he was like that with his kids.. the big project, which of course they enjoyed in the end, big bang but not day to day details of growing up. When he wasn't in charge of the LPA teams, but Amy was and they went overseas for the games he not only didn't support Amy but he lured Jeremy away with a special trip at the same time, then arrived at the venue to criticize. And he has said he wished he'd been more involved. Same stuff when they took vacations.. he'd be a baby about planning and on one trip he literally left in the middle of the trip. He's not a team player. So we didn't see the beginning or the beginning of her growing and how he probably wasn't too happy with that. Oh and of course we have events like reflooring the whole place the day before a huge family dinner/holiday for both sides of the family, or when he just singlehandedly decided to blow up the brides house they were using in the wedding business.. such a surprise that Amy thought their home was on fire.. and then he had to bring in the double wide.. I bet he was already thinking he'd move there at some point, though now it isn't good enough for him. I think we missed the years where Amy gave the boys a grounding in how to treat people.

I agree with both of the above posts. Matt always did what he wanted to do without considering how it would impact anyone else. A perfect example of this was the trebuchet. He was so intent on having it, there was no thought about how dangerous it was for the people operating it, or even possibly the guests.

OK, I watched the show in Hawai'i last night and yES ir was nice that Amy and Matt both went to be with the kids.. uh.. but no mention of even inviting Jacob or Molly. Then there was the discussion where Matt said there would be fights over the farm and it was best to just sell.. money is easier to divide (or spend, for him now). But again.. it seemed to be only about the twins. What about your daughter, Matt? I know Jacob is estranged but he would also be the most likely to cause trouble later wanting to be paid off, since he's already claimed that he was gypped out of money from the show. That was really odd to me. I just wonder if Matt has women already moving in to flatter him (and possibly try to get a big slice of that pie as well.. )that would totally complicate things for all of them.. maybe they need to put the farm into a trust to make sure someone gets it who wants to carry on the farm as it is now. Of course Matt is right that money is easier to divide but you'd think he would be the one wanting to keep the place into the family. I know they weren't able to add that other property and the house to the farm but it still seems like it is big enough if he wanted to build on the farm a bit farther from where the big house is. I did enjoy when Zack had the LP awareness soccer match and Amy was so thrilled to host the LP team on the farm and cook for them.. they sure enjoyed that. And in that episode I noticed that Amy has a B&B sign on the front door. Maybe that is a jokw, but maybe not. The interview I saw a snipped of with Matt sounds like the Wedding business may be done.. well he said something about lanterns for the wedding barn but then said they just hoped Molly would want to get married there. But he's working on updates to the pirate ship and in the latest show he talks to Amy about remodeling his double wide.. Matt tried, but he often has so much trouble relazing. I DID notice on the trip that he tried several things that in the past he would have sat out. I think maybe he is realizing that he just misses out..so he actually went parasailing and was swimming with the dolphins. That was nice to see. And they were good about letting the two young couples have quite a bit of time on their own as well. I assume that TLC funded that trip.

Loved the Hawaii. episode. Too bad Matt couldn't keep his mouth shut on their last night.

Because of Jacob pulling out of the show they cannot mention him. I also think they will never address his complaints on air. I truly think Jacob was surprised that he didn't make as much as his siblings and rather than see it was his fault, he blamed the show and parents. Zach and Jeremy were featured more because they chose to be, Jacob rarely on. I also think he's ungrateful. His parents never seemed to push him into appearances on the show, but certainly provided him a lifestyle he would likely not had. Heard he also had a problem with weed. If his charges about the money were true, there are laws that would protected him and he would be suing everyone involved.

Zach and Jeremy were featured more on the show because of the interest level of them being twins and one of them being of short stature...I suspect that is why they were given a show in the first place. (And their parents being little people.) Jacob and Molly just didn't have nearly as interesting a storyline, except in how they related to their brothers and parents.

It had meaning for her.. I thought that artist could have maybe done something better but she was kind of stuck with a pretty complete design. Jacob was more active but I think after Mike died that was hard on him but he also let his bitterness take over and rebelled with lots of pot and I gather sex and maybe rock no roll. Molly went for education and is more private. Amy declared Molly's room off limites from the beginning (and her room and Matt's, though it seems now we will be seeing Matt's new bedroom) but I'm sure if Molly wanted to be more in the show she could have done so. I know Zach had to be nudged that a present was required, not just a party, but the party was sweet and so was the gift and presentation.. For Tori's 25th birthday.

As the doctor in LA wasn't a 'dwarf' specialist, I don't understand why Matt had to go there for that cortisone injection. My DH and my BFF gets them in their spines from a pain specialist here in Portland….only about 20 miles from where Matt lives. It is a large pain clinic just like the one in LA.

That's a good question OG... especially if there's a specialist in the area.

I wondered as well but maybe it was arranged pro bono by TLC? I really don't know. Maybe used a TLC policy? I did think it was odd. Zach had surgery in Portland, didn't he? I know Achondroplasia is much more common (Amy and Zach) than the dyastropic form of dwqarfism (MATT) I would have gotten a referral from Jen and Bill to the place they go, which does specialize in LP issues. I know they are aquaint4ed.. Matt sent two of his step stools to them for Will and Zooey and the group from LPA that helps fun adoptions of LP got involved in one of Bill and Jen's adooptions and helped them a bit with costs.

Didn't Zach fly to San Francisco for a surgery once too?

This could have been Matt's personal preference on the LA Site. They must have really good insurance.

I felt so sorry for Matt when he found out his friend/employee is leaving. That on top of his serious surgery was overwhelming.

I truly appreciated how they showed the awful deportation process of the Mexican Foreman and raising awareness! Showed first hand what it looks like in reality. His Family fractured, probably forever according to deportation rules, and the sad loss of a family friend.

It was heartbreaking to watch how hard Matt took it. He was so sad looking at the wilted pumpkin growth.

I wonder if Matt is putting up the cameras to oversee the farm or to see what Amy is doing?
