I'm just not feeling the Terra love. I actually like Terra and watch Little Women LA from time to time (mostly one of those marathon back-to-back situations when I'm bored), but although I think she is doing very well I really don't think she is that great of a dancer. I guess if you are judging on how well she dances in spite of her obvious issues then she is great (and probably still a heck of a lot better than I would ever be), but her dancing doesn't move me that deeply. Maybe I'm just shallow, but she has an obvious issue with arm and leg extension and has never been called on it.
I will say though that the baby weight is falling off fast!

I think with Terra, the judges are considering her physical limitations when assessing her dancing. I don't know if that is "fair" or not. After all it is competition but it is also an entertainment show.

I don't get the Terra love either. I always feel like she's way over-scored.
Reader, I also thought Maureen's dance was worthy of 9s.

Ditto, Maureen was robbed of well-earned points. And as much as I love Carrie-Ann, I didn't like her comment about Maureen being a slow learner. Where the hell does she get off saying such a nasty thing like that?!
And frankly, Terra irritates me, and is waaaay overscored weekly.
Harrumph. Glad I got that off my chest. LOL

I don't watch the other show that Terra is on but my niece tells me she is not very nice. Dancing wise, I think she is great but not my fav by far.

Agreed that Terra is overrated, but Amber was really bad, too. How she ended up with 8s is beyond me

I'm so glad I'm not alone! While I don't think Maureen is top 4 material, I just get the impressions the producers are just putting up with her, and that's why amber and Tera are getting high judges scores
Didn't way back when the vote for the worst site was up DWTS figured out the votes from America weighed more than the judges, and that's when judges critics became more neutral?

I think Amber is way too self-conscious (oddly enough) to let herself go and become an enjoyable performer. She talks a big game but I find her actually very guarded. You can tell Max is very frustrated with her. (Another odd thing - I felt the same way when Kim K was on DWTS.)
Maureen was a huge hot mess when she started. She was so emotional and nervous she wasn't pleasant to watch. Now that she has a few weeks under her belt she seems to be relaxing somewhat and enjoying the process.

Maureen was nervousin' her first few weeks, but now that she has her confidence, I think she's doing wonderful. Her fox trot last night was loverly.

I didn't take Carrie Ann's remark about Maureen being a slow learner and a mean comment. I think her point was she is slow and steady and as the saying goes slow and steady wins the race

Mame, It was Season 7 in 2008. Her partner was Mark Ballas and they were eliminated third, so she wasn't on very long. It was the same season as Cloris Leachman.

I didn't take Carrie Ann's remark as a slam either. I am also what most would term a slow learner. I may have to go over something many times before I get it, but once I get it I am the one everyone calls when they want to check on a point.

Hey I'm a slow learner when it comes to math, and I sometimes have comprehension problems with technical instructions and I wouldn't be too thrilled to be put down about it publicly.

I think I blanked Kim out, because I do remember Cloris. Rob did better, true that.
Terra.. I did watch a couple of seasons of LWLA and she just wasn't nice. She wasn't the only one of them who wasn't nice. So it is hard for me to see them high scoring her and I don't enjoy her so much. She can definitely be proud of what she is accomplishing, absolutely but the scores..
I also didn't take Carrie Ann as being mean.
I think all of the judges have been critiqued many many times as dancers and that's what they are doing here in some parts of their critiques.
