Just read "Everything Bad is Good for You" by Steven Johnson.
Watching Survivor makes use smarter! Having to follow multiple story lines and figuring out the rules of group dynamics increases our brain function. That is why we post & read other opinions of what is really going on.

It's been tough for that French production company- a couple of years ago they were doing the French version of Survivor (for the same network- TF1), and one of the contestants died of a heart attack during the first challenge (what was sadder is that one of the medical staff on the show committed suicide because of the media barrage surrounding it)...this just seems like a sad accident.

It could happen to anyone..
Years ago, the entire US Figure Skating team was lost in a plane crash and it was such a blow to the program, of course.. skaters, familie,coaches, judges, officials too. 1961

Apparently a judge on a reality show can go too far...two judges (who are husband and wife) on the New Zealand version of The X Factor were fired after a particularly nasty tirade on a live show...

Holy buckets! Did anyone watch "Neighbors with Benefits". Eewww! Eew, eew, eew. These people are, well, nasty. And clueless. But I really don't know how much of this is for real. It seemed highly scripted. I hope it was all fake, just to restore my faith in humanity.
It's on A&E Sunday evening.
