Thanks, Lexie Girl. I didn't know about their problems other than her mentioning on the show they were downsizing.

Tre and Juicy arrived at Court a little over an hour ago. The courthouse was surrounded by bomb-sniffing dogs (I guess Tre has some rather "enthusiastic" fans). They were surrounded by U.S. Marshals, private security and Homeland Security. The press is still awaiting the verdict on sentencing. In other news, the Bankruptcy Court has now closed their Bankruptcy filing, which means Tre and Juicy must now pay $13 million to creditors. They were allowed to keep their home - which is now on the market for $3.99 million. They are also selling their Jersey Shore house and a rental house.

What is now coming out from the courthouse is the judge is freaking hammering Tre and Juicy. Not looking good.

From person in the court room who is Tweeting: Judge says the pattern of omissions & inconsistencies does not make the couple seem worthy of leniency

You are welcome. The judge is not allowing any electronic devices in the courtroom so the tweets are coming in when the court is on break.

OH CRAP: NEWARK — U.S. District Court Judge Esther Salas is not happy with how forthcoming Teresa and Joe Giudice of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” fame have been on their pre-sentencing forms and she has even brought up the possibility of them being charged with perjury. MITSU YASUKAWA / STAFF PHOTOGRAPHERTeresa and Joe Giudice arrive at the Federal Courthouse in Newark for sentencing in their fraud case. The federal prosecutor says nondisclosure and discrepancies by the couple are part of a "pattern of deception, dishonesty and concealment." The Giudices were "not transparent in the least, this concealment is intentional," he told the judge.

OMG... there is so much stuff coming out that they are now on lunch break until 1:00 ET/12:00 Central. They are now questioning whether Juicy has filed tax returns since 2009. This is getting real messy.

"Judge Esther Salas expressed frustration with the couple because she said they have assets that weren't declared in their financial disclosure forms. The judge also questioned why the couple declared only $25,000 worth of items in their home, even though their insurance policy is worth $1 million. In 2009 bankruptcy filings, the couple showed $60,000 in assets in their home, the judge said. "They had an obligation to be transparent and candid and open with the court and I don't think I got that," Salas said. "I want to understand the disconnect." The prosecutor also expressed his concerns. "It's the same pattern of obstruction and dishonesty and manipulation that they showed in the bankruptcy case," the prosecutor told Salas. During the hearing, Joe Giudice's lawyer, Miles Feinstein, also noted his client's father died in June, adding Giddice has been deeply affected by the death. "He hasn't been the same person," Feinstein said. "That was his best friend.""

"Teresa is still awaiting sentencing but the judge has agreed that she will not serve her sentence at the same time as Joe so one of them can always be caring for their four daughters." ======================= So much for anyone that thought she would get house arrest.

It has been a long time coming this sentencing. Hope Joe said proper good bye's to the girls this morning. Or is it that sentencing happens but it will be months before he has to show up to be locked up? How does that work?

In federal court, defendants are usually given a certain amount of time to report so they can wrap up their affairs.

Judge is now recommending that they be sent to prison close to home so the girls can visit.

Interesting. Guidice's sentence for fraud is less than half that of Apollo Nida.

Sarah - Apollo was a convicted felon who was out on probation when he committed those crimes. Tre and Juicy do not have a previous record. Also, Apollo stole the identities of people who are alive to commit those crimes and steal using their names and social security numbers. These cases are two completely different animals.

2 years doesn't even sound like a lot of time for the crime. Any news is Joe will be deported?

True about the difference in the cases, but they seem equally unrepentant.
