HEADING TO THE SEMIFINALS • Emil and Dariel, the rockin' cello duo (I had a dream they didn't make it through this round and it freaked me out since I have picked them to win the whole shebang). • Jonah Smith and his band (loved this performance). • Quintavious Johnson, the 12-year-old singer (ugh, he's good but enough with the singers, especially kids). • Smoothini the magician (I love him but he was soooo nervous Tuesday night, was worried about his chances) • Kelli Glover, the singing waitress from Cranford, N.J. (she was selected by the judges) Disappointed that Extreme didn't make it (IMHO the best dance group of the night).

I was a bit disappointed with this week, really just a couple of stand out performances, whereas last week there were more than five who really deserved to go through. Maybe some of them will get the wildcards.

When watching the show, a couple times I've heard Nick mention a tragedy or struggle Emily West had to survive. What was it? I didn't watch much of the beginning of the season. Tonight's results -- going on David and Leeman Sons of Serendip Miguel Dakota (no surprise) Mike Super Emily West Mara Justine (I don't care for child talent -- waaa waaa)

????? Happy for the magicians (but I know how both tricks were done). However, Mara Justine was flat. Miguel was the best singer of the night, Emily right behind (I think she/family are broke) but I'm so friggin tired of SINGERS. The jump rope crew deserved to go on more than Mara.

Some shocks tonight! I'm shocked Mike Super went through and shocked the Sons of Serendip did (although I really liked them and gave them a vote, I didn't think others would). I was astonished the hand balance guy didn't get in the top 7, even if he didn't get in the top 4 sure places. Aerial Animation should have got through based on previous weeks' acts but not on this week's, so I wasn't surprised they were out. And I don't like announcing the 5th, 6th and 7th places at the beginning, and then even worse, a few minutes later announcing the current vote which of course is pretty much the same as the final vote and tells us which two go through at the end.

For the final six... Top four and straight through were Emily West Acroarmy Mat Franco Quintavious Acts 5-7 were Sons of Serendip, Miguel Dakota and Emil & Dariel (the celloists) Sons of Serendip went through as the Snapple pick The judges were split over Miguel and the Celloists, so they went by the highest viewer votes which was... Miguel Dakota So four singing acts, a magician and an acrobat troop.

Not thinking "kid" acts would be the best bet for a place like Vegas. There are so many shows that are only about singers so I wish they wouldn't put so many singing folks in to start with - they can go to any of those other shows. I like the acts that are different. I am actually rooting for Sons of Serendip - yep, I know one of them sings but the other 3's instrumental talent along with the voice on the singer makes this group unique to me.

I think Quintavious is at that age where his voice might change very soon. I bet he'll have a good voice afterwards but I'd think he'll have a couple of rocky years. Plus how would it work with a young boy in Vegas anyway? I think I want Sons of Serendip to win too. They would be great in a Vegas show, whereas Emily is more Broadway and Miguel is more independent. I didn't think Mat Franco was that special as a magician and Acroarmy has little ones.

Actually, Vegas, in spite of its reputation, has become a lot more family friendly in recent years. They have added more activities for kids too. Took my boys when they were 16, and they loved it - roller coasters, Circus Circus, the aquarium... lots to do.

Isn't it a daily show they get signed on to do? What I mean with the little ones is they'd have to work their schooling around their shows, and I don't know how good that is for them.

Looked at the AGT websit, it says the winner "all vying for their chance to win America's hearts and the $1 million prize. The upcoming winner of America's Got Talent Season 9, as well a selection of the show's top finalists, will be performing in America's Got Talent Live, a stage show version of the NBC #1 rated television show of the summer, in Las Vegas Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27 at The AXIS Powered by Monster at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino." So maybe the prize isn't a Vegas (ongoing) show anymore??

They don't even get $1Million, it is some 40 yr annuity or the present cash amount. Less taxes. I do still think they get the Vegas act. It is in a quick little blurb at the end of the show. The only one I would rather not win is Miguel. I love magic, so Mat and Mike Super were fun for me as were David and Leman who would be a great Vegas act imo, way better than whatshisname and his mute companion. I can not stand those guys. I hope that a lot of the top 12 find something thru doing the show. I really think this is a talented bunch. Why I'd rather Miguel didn't win is that he sounds like all the rest to me and I think it would be a lot of teenagers voting cause he is so cute. I hate how Howie goes on about him being a star and should win. Plus his constant remarks that he thinks are funny and pulls the focus off the participant are wearing on my nerves. I haven't noticed this before this year.

I imagine if they did do an ongoing show they'd have some schedule that allowed them to be homeschooled, like child actors.

They do *a* show in Vegas. It started with Terry Fator, was his dream to headline a show in LV. So when he won the Hilton called & gave him a show. We went to it (3rd row center) and it was fabulous. Hilton then offered him one weekend a month reoccuring for a year. Then Mirage picked him to replace Danny Gans and he's been a staple on the strip ever since. After that the AGT producers figured why not do a "Vegas" show with the best acts. We went to it last year (couple singers, the Kristoff Bros, the magician Colin Keys, and last year's winner, Kenichi). It was a good show, but didn't "highlight" Kenichi that much. Not going this year. So tired of all the singers who make it into the finals. Yes, they are good, but there are so many other "singing" showcases out there. Leave AGT for all the other talents (which can be much harder to do something different every week). I thought we had some great magicians this year.

I think winner will be Emily West or Mat Franco or AcroArmy. I agree with Jasper. Miguel Dakota sounds and looks like "all the rest".

I put all my votes in for Emily West. I love her singing and I would definitely pay to see her perform. I can't wait until she records her music for download.
